Escape to a secret garden estate in India’s rugged Aravalli Hills and reconnect
within the rose-pink, Mughal-inspired sanctuary that is Amanbagh. Drawing
on India’s remarkable wellness heritage, Amanbagh’s 4- to 21-night Ayurvedic
Immersions offer a unique experience of this 5,000-year-old system of
preventative medicine. An in-house Ayurvedic physician oversees every detail of
your Immersion, whether you seek an educational introduction to Ayurveda and its
principles of self-healing and preventative care, or a full three-week programme
designed for total rejuvenation and transformation.
Ayurveda at Amanbagh
Combining the Sanskrit word for ‘life’ with veda meaning ‘science’, Ayurveda encourages balance in
all things. Its principles rely on the truism that each of us has a predominant constitutional dosha,
determined by our inherent characteristics and body type. An in-depth assessment determines
whether you are Vata, Kapha, or Pitta, and this knowledge along with regular consultations with
our Ayurvedic physician ensures your Immersion is uniquely geared to your needs. Immersions
include daily Ayurvedic treatments, delicious meals and refreshments in line with your dosha
requirements, expert yoga/meditation classes, and optional group activities. A number of carefully
curated cultural experiences are also included, such as visiting the astonishing Neelkanth Temple
and Mansarovar Lake.
THE Resort
Shaded courtyards, domed cupolas and a potent mystical atmosphere - Amanbagh is an
inspirational setting for an immersive Ayurvedic retreat. Quietly glamorous, the property
was once the resting ground for the Maharajah of Alwar’s tiger hunts. The modern-day
Mughal Palace and lush garden estate – all manicured green lawns, palms and eucalyptus
trees – is a deeply cocooning place in which to reconnect. Old World India meets New
World style, with the sleek Haveli Suites and Pool Pavilions providing privacy, space and
luxurious comfort. The spa is a haven of quiet calm, the grounds a verdant sanctuary with
sprawling kitchen gardens. The cheerful faces of Amanbagh’s deep heart, staff members
greet you with confident smiles and garlands of sunny marigolds.
THE FOOD
Unrivalled nutritional support and education lie at the core of each Immersion: Every
meal is created with your dosha requirements in mind. Designed by Amanbagh’s
Executive Chef and his expert team under the guidance of our Ayurvedic physician and
nutritionist, your menu is utterly unique, reflecting your nutritional needs to ensure your
dosha balance restoration is in line with Ayurvedic cooking concepts. For an authentic
Panchakarma cure, a Vegetarian Ayurvedic Menu is offered which is easy to digest and
‘cure’ supportive.
YOGA & MEDITATION
Customised to your specific needs, every yoga session includes asana (postures),
mudras (gestures), pranayama (breathing techniques) and relaxation. Amanbagh offers
customised yoga sessions based on detailed consultations with our resident instructor.
Whether you are a beginner or an advanced yoga practitioner, sessions aim to increase
your mind/body connection. They also include various purification and meditation
techniques that assist in balancing the three doshas.
Ayur IMMERSION
4 nights to a newfound sense of wellbeing
Respected around the world for its wisdom and gentle efficacy, Ayurveda is still a mystery to
many who might benefit from its practices. This Immersion introduces the ancient concepts of
Ayurveda, and how it strives to prevent disease by returning your body to its natural equilibrium.
This is achieved through a personalised Ayurvedic diet, Ayurvedic therapies, passive movement
and meditation, all carefully prescribed to balance your doshas – the building blocks of your
constitution according to Ayurveda. Consultations with Amanbagh’s Ayurvedic physician lead
to a tailored schedule incorporating a dosha-specific Ayurvedic meal plan, three spa sessions
and treatments per day, two cultural experiences per stay and daily optional group activities.
Options for cultural experiences include a sunset “cow dust” tour of the picturesque villages near
Amanbagh, while yoga and meditation will be offered daily in Amanbagh’s magnificent gardens.
This Wellness Immersion is valid for new bookings only, is subject to availability, and cannot be combined with any other exclusive.
Bookings are to be made through Amanbagh directly. Cancellations and payments as per Amanbagh’s standard terms.

Ayurvedic Treatments
Abhyanga: Ayurveda advises a massage with warm
herbal oils as a part of daily life. Abhyanga means ‘to
anoint’ and here specific oils are chosen for the head
and body according to your dosha type. A wonderful
whole body massage is then performed in sync by two
therapists. The natural healing qualities of the herbal
oils, together with traditional massage techniques are
deeply cleansing and rejuvenating, improving the overall
appearance of the skin and relieving stress. This massage
helps to harmonise imbalances in all three doshas.
Shirodhara: In this calming, healing therapy, a steady
stream of warm medicated oil is allowed to flow from
a specific height onto the forehead and the entire scalp

Yoga/Meditation
Pranayama Breathing Practice: This ancient Yogic
technique aids breath control in order to activate the
‘life force’ or prana of the body and attain a higher state
of vibratory energy and awareness. This simple but highly
effective breathing practice helps calm both body and
mind. Concentrating on the breath distracts, focuses and
clears the brain, allowing you to sit in meditation with
greater ease.
Sadhana Meditation: Sadhana, meaning “spiritual
practice” is a guided meditation to quieten the mind.
Gentle yet powerful, it allows surface tensions and stress
to subside, allowing for an increased feeling of calmness,
greater clarity and heightened alertness. It also helps to
generate an improved connection of the mind and body,
allowing you to tap into your deepest desires and stay
aligned to your truth.
OTHER HIGHLIGHTS
• Cow Dust Tour: Godhuli is a Hindi word that describes the late afternoon when livestock
are led home along dusty village roads. The last sunlight of the day refracts through the
dust they leave in their wake creating a beautiful mirage-like effect at this serene time of day.
Head out at sunset in one of Amanbagh’s open jeeps for a tour of the surrounding villages
and witness locals herding their goats, cows and buffalo towards home, children playing
village cricket and village elders gathered around their hookahs for an evening smoke. • Bhangarh: A medieval site of great archaeological importance, Bhangarh is situated 15
kilometres from Amanbagh. According to local villagers, the splendid ruins are haunted. • Ajabgarh: Built in 1635, Ajabgarh’s fort and temple can be visited from Amanbagh on
foot, by camel or in the resort’s open jeeps. • Neelkanth: Home to the ruins of beautifully carved temples dating back to the 6th century,
Neelkanth lies within Sariska National Park, 45 minutes from Amanbagh. Offering
magnificent views, it is situated in a high valley, encircled by mountains. • Mansarovar Lake: Situated at the foot of the dirt road leading up to Neelkanth, Mansarovar
Lake becomes a bird-watcher’s paradise from October to February. THE JOURNEY
Amanbagh is a 90-minute drive from Jaipur Airport.
