Sarah!Remmer!is!a!Registered!Dietitian,!freelance!writer!and!the!proud!
owner!of!Sarah!Remmer!Nutrition!Consulting,!a!Calgary;based!paediatric!and!
family!nutrition!consulting!and!communications!company.!Sarah!is!also!a!
Mom!to!three!kids,!Benjamin!(5),!Lylah!(2)!and!James!(3!months)!!

Sarah!obtained!her!Bachelors!Degree!in!Nutritional!Sciences!from!the!
University!of!Alberta,!where!she!then!went!on!to!complete!a!year;long!
dietetics!internship!in!Calgary.!Sarah!started!her!private!nutrition!consulting!
practice!right!out!of!university!and!has!never!looked!back.!In!2008,!she!was!
asked!to!be!the!nutrition!columnist!for!a!local!magazine!Birth&of&a&Mother&
Magazine,!where!she!quickly!discovered!that!she!was!equally!as!passionate!
about!writing!as!she!was!about!nutrition.!!

Sarah’s!dietetics!and!counseling!experience!spans!across!many!areas,!including!chronic!disease!
management,!healthy!weight!management,!pre;!and!post;natal!nutrition,!and!infant!and!child!nutrition.!
She!also!has!specialty!training!in!Eating!Disorders!and!disordered!eating!behaviours!through!the!College!
of!Dietitians!of!Alberta.!

Since!becoming!a!Mom!in!2010,!her!practice!has!evolved!from!a!general!nutrition!consulting!practice,!to!
a!thriving!communications!and!consulting!business!that!focuses!on!childhood!and!family!nutrition.!
Sarah’s!true!passion!lies!in!teaching!parents!not!only!what!to!feed!their!kids,!but!how,!giving!them!
invaluable!tools!that!help!them!to!nurture!their!children’s!relationship!with!food!for!life.!!

Sarah!has!partnered!with!nationally;recognized!Pediatrician!and!author!Dr.!Peter!Nieman!to!lead!the!
Pediatric!Nutrition!Program!at!the!Calgary!Weight!Management!Centre,!where!she!sees!paediatric!
clients!and!their!families!for!weight!management!support!as!well!as!clients!dealing!with!Eating!
Disorders.!!

Sarah!shares!her!passion!not!only!with!parents!and!kids!in!a!one;on;one!counseling!setting,!but!also!as!a!
freelance!nutrition!writer!who!contributes!regularly!to!Canadian!parenting!magazine!Today’s!Parent,!
