Ground Systems & Capabilities:
Ground Systems & Capabilities:
WESCAM’s ground-based sighting-solutions have been engineered to actively
support intense Combat Force-Protection, Hunter-Killer and 24/7 perimeter
surveillance missions. Vehicular and stationary solutions include mast mounts
that have been designed with precise stabilization levels, passive isolation, and
MX-RSTA
industry-leading optical-magnification levels. HD resolution and 360° vantage
MX-10GS
points enable long-range covert missions while stationary or on-the-move,
simultaneously providing wide field-of-view situational awareness for combating urban and asymmetric threats.
Solutions incorporate battle-proven MX Series EO/IR imaging technology and operate flawlessly in extreme
temperatures, at excessive speeds, varying altitudes, and through the harshest environments; including those
with intensive dirt, dust and smoke.
Integrator of Leading ISR Communication
Systems
As prime contractor for many multi-million dollar programs,
WESCAM is relied on to provide more than EO/IR systems.
Fitting multi-spectral airborne imaging and targeting
systems with wireless communication equipment,
WESCAM incorporates leading sensor technology with
today’s finest data communications and tactical display
technology, including radar, global positioning
systems, inertial navigation systems and moving maps.
On the ground, L-3 WESCAM offers a complete and flexible
turnkey vehicle reconnaissance and surveillance system
solution which is scalable based on the vehicle’s integration
and mission profile. Components could include a sensor
suite, mast and video exploitation workstation.
Control the Battlespace from
Every Altitude:
Rely on WESCAM to dominate all levels of the battlefield, significantly
increase platform lethality, vehicle survivability and crew protection. Deploy
multiple MX airborne and ground systems in layered ranges and overlapping
fields of view to visualize continuous networked coverage and threat
hand-off between sensors. This capability allows for the uninterrupted
surveillance of borders, forward operating bases,
airfields and other vital assets.

Modular and Scalable Sighting
Solutions
From legacy to new platform introductions, technology
enhancements developed and integrated by WESCAM
continue to conquer industry-wide mission challenges:
Modernizing Older Generation Turrets:
Wide Angle Color Low-light: Use the continuous zoom
situational awareness senor under a wider range of
illumination conditions. This sensor complements the
low-light channel in the dual-channel spotter
Visible Laser Designator: Provides conclusive assurance
that designation is on target
Precise Laser Control: Highly stabilized laser allows
refined positioning for effective small munitions
WESCAM’s imaging and targeting systems are modular in design - which easily facilitates system
growth. The modular design of the MX-Series family allows for individual sensors to be upgraded
without affecting other sensors. This flexibility enables:
High Definition IR imagery:
Improved spatial and grayscale
resolution. A vast improvement
to situational-awareness through
a wider field-of-view
Image Fusion/Blending:
Combine EO and IR into a
single image stream, allowing
the operator the benefits of
both sensors at one time
•
The upgrade of existing components to newer technology
•
The addition of new components to increase your system’s functionality
•
A low training burden – common system components and interfaces
•
The best value for smaller budgets - innovative solutions and low “whole life costs”

Training Products and Courses:
WESCAM offers fully-integrated training programs and interactive simulation products to ensure customers are
fully optimizing their MX-Series system.
WESCAM continues to invest
heavily not only in product
development, but also in
customer care. From
single-operator configurations
to complex, multi-operational
systems, the following support infrastructure is in place to support WESCAM’s customers:
MX-Sim:
Empowering users with the knowledge and confidence needed to operate
their MX system to its full potential, the MX-Sim is a training product that
simulates the complete operations of MX-Series imaging and targeting
systems. Designed to match a customer’s exact MX-Series configuration,
the MX-Sim reduces the expensive flying time required to train personnel.
WESCAM Authorized Service Centers (WASCs):
MX-Emulator:
WESCAM has expanded its global footprint by partnering with leading service providers to create strategically located
Authorized Service Centers (WASCs) around the world. WASCs provide support services to ensure operational
availability remains high. WASC technicians are factory trained and certified, and follow WESCAM’s documented
in-house procedures.
Used during the system-integration phase of a program, the MX-Emulator
emulates the complete operations of any MX imaging and targeting
system. It enables system integrators and OEM’s to dramatically reduce System Integration Lab (SIL) development
costs associated with integration activities, while freeing systems and aircraft from SIL testing.
Field Service Representatives (FSRs):
Training:
WESCAM’s FSRs are factory-trained technicians, experienced in performing diagnostics and repairs anywhere in the
world. Available for dispatch within 24 hours from the closest WASC location, FSRs respond rapidly to customer calls
for on-site repairs.
MX-RAid:
Over the Internet
Through either a satellite or internet connection, any MX system can interface with
MX-RAid, a leading diagnostic software tool that performs checks, calibrations,
firmware updates and logs errors from the field. This service reduces delays in
determining and repairing system faults, eliminates no-fault-found returns,
significantly reduces response time results and reduces downtime for the end user.
WESCAM’s comprehensive training solution has been designed to expand the customer’s overall operational and
maintenance knowledge. Training offerings range from in-class instructor-led courses to in-flight and in-vehicle
training, and eLearning product training courses. WESCAM offers training at its state-of-the-art
training center located in Burlington, Ontario, the customer’s location and any
WESCAM Authorized Service Center.
