y semester at the HEC exchange program has been an invaluable experience from both a social
and academic perspective. The course selection is diverse and interesting—spanning from Sports
Marketing to Strategic Consulting and Private Equity in the Middle East. Course material, while
theoretical, is always presented alongside a plethora of applicable, real-world examples. Classroom
discussions are always dynamic, refreshing, and offer unique perspectives on economic issues.
Outside of the classroom, there are dozens of activities to be involved in—everything from
boxing to golf. HEC is truly a melting pot of multicultural students with diverse interests
and passions, and my time here has been incredible.

y semester at HEC was an unforgettable experience! The instructors in all of my courses
were able to justify the school’s reputation as one of the top European business schools.
Their practice-oriented approach, endless motivation and proficiency in English made the
lectures an enriching experience. But of course there was much more to the time at HEC than just
classes. Meeting friends from all over the world, discovering the amazing city of Paris and
traveling in Europe were equally indispensable. Apart from that I enjoyed the welcoming
experience within the handball association and the numerous casual football matches
with fellow students. Last but not least the experience and the efforts of the
International Office staff guaranteed that all of our issues were addressed
timely and appropriately.

EC’s Exchange Program can be described best using the following: ambition, internationalization,
and intellectual freedom. It is characterized by a multi-disciplinary course structure, allowing
students to expand on their current academic interests, as well as providing them with the
perfect opportunity to explore new, unknown disciplines. A truly valuable and great learning experience
in a stimulating environment.
HEC students are – without any doubt – driven to excel; every day, you will find setting higher targets
for yourself. At HEC, intellectual freedom is clearly promoted. The Program provides a suitable
balance between achieving academic excellence and personal development. A diversity of students
with numerous nationalities and cultures are attracted, creating a multicultural learning
environment. It is truly a socially-intriguing experience – meeting students from different parts
of the globe, sharing one single and utmost passion: to become a global citizen.
Leaving one’s comfort zone is the thrill. I promise you that taking part in HEC’s Exchange
will add significant value to your experience as a student, and beyond.

A dream City
In a study titled "the European megalopolis" in May 2009, Paris was in

emblematic monument, the Eiffel Tower (96,2%), the Champs-Elysées,
"a legendary meeting place" (59%) and its incomparable "cultural site",
the Louvre (60,3%). The city's "romantic appeal" places it second (79,5%),
after Barcelona, the "capital of fun" (87,1%). Montmartre placed third for
its atmosphere, after Soho in London and Barcelona's Gothic disctrict.
Thanks to Fashion Week, Paris is 10th in the "events" category.
