Animal news from around town!
CREATURE FEATURE ----------------------------------- 11
I would like take this opportunity to announce that there are
new additions to our already small office space (yes, moving
around is kinda hard) in the form of two furred individuals.
The first is a little but not so little, slighty temperamental, potbellied sugar glider going by the name of Joseph. Yes I know, it
is a weird name for a sugar glider, but it sort of fits him.

Pet products from all over. Pets need toys too, you know!
The second furry animal running around the office carpets
now is Kibbles. She is a young abandoned kitten found near
our office one fateful night. Cute, hell of naughty and runs like
a rocket, she brought many smiles, (and a countless scratches
on arms and legs) into our lives. She is also the main reason
why my stress levels have went down. Thanks meow.

K9 Day @ Central Park, 1Utama, KL
K9 day is a joint event organised by Purina and Puppy.com.my to gather
together all dog lovers and pets of all segments of our Malaysian society.
This event also aims to enhance the comraderie between pet clubs,
breeders and their respective members (the furry ones).
Though that Sunday was blistering hot (yes like the name of the day
implies), many showed up in droves; all decked out with picnic gear and
bottles of water. Even as early as 8.30am in the morning, the crowd of
people and pets was evergrowing.
Booths where set up to showcase products and gear specially for our furred
friends. A set of games were strung up to enable group participation,
interaction and friendly competition.
If you missed out on a day like this, be sure to look out for the next big day
out for all puppies and dogs alike.
MAA Dog Agility @ Penang.
The Petster crew travelled all way up north to witness some very interesting
dog action at the Malaysia Agility Association (M.A.A.) in Penang. This
event is held annually to bring trainers and dog enthusiates alike under
one roof to participate in a string of activities which includes a showcase
of trained show dogs to a very very cute fashion show.
It was an eye-opener to see how trainers communicate with their dogs
during their runs along the obstacle course, and how pets of all sizes can
participate in a fashion show, even if its costume is just one bow-tie!

Ti-Ratana Animal therapy
Animals as we all know, are loved by people of all ages; especially children. The
250 children & senior citizens at Ti-Ratana Welfare Society were treated to a special
appearance by some of the wonderful dogs of WaggieTails and PetnU. This gives the
children a chance to interact and be wowed by “Man’s Best Friend”.
WaggieTails and PetnU joined hands to bring these children a joyous new year by
watching the dog parade, show off a fashion show and perform acrobatics. There
were about 16 dogs in total on that day to interact, and keep the children’s negative
feelings and uncertainty at bay. With this, children can learn
to love, care and accept positive perspectives and build up
their confidence to take up challenges that life has to offer.
WaggieTails and PetnU is group of like-minded people whom
share the common love for dogs and have 20 plus years of
experience in dog obedience and agility training.
Malaysia Cat Club (MCC) International Cat
Competition @ South City Plaza, Serdang
The Malaysian Cat Club recently held an international competition. The event was
sponsored by IAMS and held in the sleepy town of Serdang and yes, it was a very
different sight from the norm in South City Plaza.
Cats of all types were dressed by their proud owners in Elizabethan fashioned dresses
for all to see. Categories to be judged upon were how well were they groomed and
also the dressing sense of some were put to the test.

The International Cat Show was held in conjunction with the Super Home
Ideas and Mega Property Showcase at Midvalley Megamall last January. The
event housed over 250 cats and ran seminars, demonstrations and lucky draws
through a 4 day length.
The event, though small, attracted a large crowd of people all anxious to view
felines of all different types that they have not seen before. Breeders as well as
pet supplies and product distributors were present to join in the event.
The show was jointly organised by the Feline Society of Malaysia and The Cat
Fancier’s Association (CFA) and co. sponsored by Blackwood pet products.

A love motel in Soa Paulo has opened for amorous dogs.
The love motel offers decorated rooms for dogs of pet owners who are concerned for their animal’s needs. Robson Marinho, owner
of a pet shop, built the air-conditioned room on the second floor and hung a sign that reeds “Pet Love Motel”. The rooms in the
motel, at Barra Funda, are decorated in the same way as love motels for humans, with satin sheets, ceiling heart-shaped mirrors,
special control panel to dim the lights, romantic music and lots of cushions. Even the windows have thick curtains for timid dogs
that want discretion.
Marinho said: “I am absolutely certain this is the first love motel for dogs in the world”
“The owner has to know what kind of DVD will excite his or her dog. We also have a wedding
agency that matches up dogs and if the female dog doesn’t get pregnant, we offer artificial
insemination services”. Marinho has already received some reservations for the room. A
love room for your dogs costs $41 for two hours. - StunningNews.com
Canine blood donor to be honored
HOWELL, Mich. - He’s donated blood 20 times and is being honored by the Livingston
County chapter of the American Red Cross. Not bad for a 200-pound, 2-year-old English
mastiff who answers to the name Lurch. He’ll receive the chapter’s “Pet’s Best Friend”
award at an event here Thursday. “We’re doing something different this year,” executive
director Diane Serra said. “We’re honoring Lurch because he’s actually donated blood.”
Lurch’s owner, Joni Melvin-Thiede, said Lurch donates blood for other canines about
once every four weeks. His blood has helped dozens, including saving one dog who got
into some rat poison.
“You really don’t end up knowing which dogs he helps, but his little picture goes on
each bag so the person that gets it will actually know it.” Besides being cooperative
with nurses, Lurch is also friendly with his housemates: four pugs, seven cats and the
occasional litter of kittens. There’s also an American mastiff named Lucas, who teams
with Lurch to eat about 200 pounds of food per month. “Mastiffs are just like 200-pound
pugs,” Melvin-Thiede said. “They’re just as friendly and just as goofy except they have a
couple more zeros at the end of the weight.” - CNN

Creature FEATURE
Whats Up @ Wow-Wow@Meow-Meow?
How good does it feel to know that your pooch and feline furball are looking
their best? The best part is, the pets themselves know that they DO look
good, which plays a big part in their health and emotions.
Owners of these days (more accurately described as Pet Lovers”) shell out
thousands of Ringgit to maintain their canine and feline family members.
Most of which goes to food and medical fees, but now the trend is changing.
Proffesional grooming and accessorising is now taking up a large chunk of
what we spend on keeping our furry friends healthy and of course - much
happier.
Wow-Wow@Meow-Meow recently opened its gates to the
public in October of 2007. It was opened by Esther, Jean,
Yuri & Lim, 4 likeminded friends whom share a common love
for pets and possess the drive to drastically improve the wellbeing of pets everywhere.
Esther, 24, wanted to provide new and various types services
to the public. Services as simple as providing transportation,
general consultation of style and grooming direction, and
whole day-care make a very big difference to a customer.
Convenience is the key she commented. “People now are
getting busier and busier so providing them hassle-free
services is definitely a huge plus point”.
The new thing available at their shop is the “dog spa” which
aims to give pets a whole new experience when getting
groomed. Swabbed and massaged with mud straight from
the dead sea in Israel, pooches get the natural nourishments
from sea salts, just like the ones we use to pamper ourselves.
Besides grooming, Wow-Wow@Meow-Meow also sells pet
supplies, food, caging, bedding and of course, fashionable
clothes for pets!
Wow-Wow@Meow-Meow operates from 10am - 8pm daily
and is manned by friendly, certified groomers whom will assist
you at anytime (unless of course when they have their hands
full of shampoo and an eager pet). Access to the shop is easy
as they allow drop-offs and there is a big parking space just
around the corner.

Questions to Dr. Mervin
Hand “N” Paws veterinary clinic and pet centre
C-17G, Jalan PJU 1/45, Aman Suria Damansara
47301, Petaling Jaya
Q. What should not be in a dog’s diet - ever?
A. There are certain foods or items that dogs should never ever
have due to the difference in their metabolism. Symptoms from
consuming wrong foods could be mild as appetite loss, diarrhea
to severe sickness and even death.
Here is a list of some items that dogs should never consume:
Alcohol - Can lead to poisoning
Onions - Breakdown of red blood cells can cause anemia
Grapes & Raisins - Kidney damage
Chocolate & Caffeine - Can affect the heart and nervous system
Avocadoes - Toxins destroy organs and tissues
Fruit Seeds - May contain cyanide and can be fatal
Animal Fat - May induce pancreatitis
Cat Food - Higher level of protein can cause liver damage
Dairy Products - Lactose intolerance can lead to diarrhea
Spoiled Food - Toxins induce gastroenteritis
Mushrooms - Can lead to multi organ damage
Raw Eggs - Enzymes can decrease absorbtion of Vit.B
Human Vitamins - Can be toxic to dogs
Sweet Sugary Foods - Obesity and diabetes mellitus
Raw Fish - Can cause seizures and anorexia
Q. How to tell if my cat is ill?
A. You can detect whether your cat is feeling ill just by observing
its behaviour. A healthy cat would be very alert, active, curious
of its environment and has a good appetite. A cat’s appetite is a
very important indicator of its health. You need to differentiate
if your cat is totally uninterested in food or if it still wants to eat
but just can’t seem to. If your cat is eating well but does gain or is
losing weight, it could be a signal of something wrong inside.
Its stools (shit) should be well formed and not soft or loose. It
should not contain any trace of blood or mucus. Your cat’s gums
should be a healthy pink colour. If it is pale. A healthy cat will
carry around a soft, clean and shiny coat. If your cat grooms itself
excessively it could indicate certain skin infections, stress, or even
external parasites such as fleas, lice or mites.
Q. What should I do if my cat gets injured after a cat
fight?
A. Fight wounds are very common especially with
free-roaming, non-neutered male cats. Battle wounds
left untreated can lead to severe infections that can
potentially affect its health. If you find that you cat bears
some battle damage, the first thing you should do is get it
throughly evaluated and treated by a vet. Antibiotics will
stop the spread of infections and prevent the formation
of abscess (pus under the skin). Feline leukemia virus and
Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (Feline AIDS) can also
spread through bite wounds. If your cat is not vaccinated
against these diseases, it is a good idea to get it tested.
Q. Would boarding my dog with other stranger dogs
be potentially dangerous?
A. Yes, but the good news is there are precautions you
can take to ensure the safety of your dog. Make sure
your pet’s vaccination and deworming status is up to
date with all its booster shots taken. A good flea and
tick preventative should be applied on your pet before
it boards. Bring along a favourite toy, or something from
home (i.e. a blanket or an old t-shirt) to make your dog
feel more at home and less stressed. Lastly, remember to
bring along any medication, supplements or special diets
your dog requires to minimise upsets and to maintain its
wellbeing during the stay.
A cat’s eyes should be bright, shiny and clear without any abnormal discharges.
Protrusion of the third eyelid across the eyeball could be the first signs of ill health.
The sclera (white) of the eye should be white in colour with a few visible blodd
vessels. Cloudiness in the lens could indicate cataract or underlying infections.
The conjunctiva (pink) of the eye under the eyelids should not be swelled or look
inflammed.
If you have any doubts, don’t hesitate to give your cat a check up at your friendly
local vet should give you some advice and further information. Remember not
to prolong your doubts, sometimes it could be worse than you would have
expected.
13
Ask Our Vet
Q. What should I do if my hamster cuts itself?
A. The injured hamster should be kept in a separate recovery cage until it gets well. Also
ideally, the hair at the affected area should be clipped or shaved (so it doesn’t stick and
clog up the wound).
Wounds should be cleaned with antiseptic solution and covered with an antiseptic or
antibiotic ointment. Any worry or evidence of infection should be evaluated and treated
by a veterinarian as soon as possible.

Pet fashion - The “in-thing”
for our furred friends
Pet Esthé’s products are designed with one thing in mind - to enhance and highten the well-being of pets. No doubt a well groomed
pet will look presentable and smart, but a pet whom is emotionally stressed and may I say, depressed; will not look its best. Pet
care should start from the pet’s emotions according to a scientific approach of the A.D. Prince Paris, applying aromatherapy and
thalassotherapy to pets does wonders.
These products are no longer regarded as simple
bathing liquids to clean your dog; instead are at
the level of high class cosmetics for our four-legged
furry counterparts. Each product is skillfully blended
with ingredients include things like propolis
(made by honeybees), as well as mineral salts
from the Dead Sea, natural botanical moisturizing
ingredients, marine plant ingredients, and NMF
(natural moisturizing factor).
Besides enhancing the outlook of your dog, but also nourishes your pet’s skin and coat, keep
ing them healthy and away from skin allergies and diseases. Many of todays products are made
from man made chemicals which are potentially dangerous for some pets. Pet Esthé’s products
are carefully made from natural ingredients to avoid any form of allergies or skin agitations.
The cultures of pet care are changing as the years go by, and more people are taking their pet’s
weel-being much more seriously. This is where groomers come in as important stand points,
besides vets, to whether your pet is healthy. They have the closest view of your pet especially
when they groom them almost more than twice a month.
Pet Fashion started in 2005, supplying pet clothes and carriers to pet shops around Malaysia.
The two main brands that Pet Fashion carries is “Lovabledog” and “Peppets”. Pet Fashion aslo

Abandoned - But Not Alone.
Abandoned Kitten:
Should I take them in? If yes, what should I do first?
Abandoned kittens will be dirty and the nest will be soiled, and they will cry continuously because they’re hungry. Ideally, kittens
should not be taken from the mother until they are 5 to 6 weeks of age. Kittens whom have gotten 4 weeks’ worth of the precious
antibodies mother’s milk, will be much healthier and will stand a better chance against diseases. Kittens must be tamed as soon as
possible because as they get older, it gets increasingly harder to tame them.
Warmth and First Aid
If a rescued kitten feels cold it will consistently shiver and look for a
warm spot to snuggle in. Warm it immediately with a towel or cloth.
To make things better, heat up a hot water bottle, wrap it in a towel
and place it with the kitten. It is advisable to not feed a kitten until
it is warmed up; its digestive system will not be able to process the
food well when its cold. Some drops of sugared water to its lips will
help. During the night, a small heat lamp over the kitten sleeping
area would also help it keep warm.
Kittens should be kept in a box or cage in a warm, quiet place, isolated
away from wind and other animals. Change the bedding daily to
keep things clean. As they grow older, more room to exercise, play,
and explore is needed. A spare bathroom is an ideal for this. It is also
a very good idea to take them to a veterinarian to be checked up.
Young kittens should get all the needed vaccinations and booster
shots to keep its health protected.
Feeding
Unlike what popular media portrays, normal cow’s milk is NOT nutritious enough for
kittens - they will slowly starve to death on it due to the lack nutrients. It also causes
diarrhea which is extremely dangerous for young kittens. Most pet stores wll stock
powdered milk specially formulated for kittens aged below 4 weeks. A small feeding
bottle should be used to simulate a mother cat’s nipple for them to suckle on for
feeding. Force feeding them is required sometimes as they do not know how to take
food by themselves yet.
Toilet Training
When kittens get to be about four weeks old, they are usually ready to be toilet
trained. Litterboxes will provide a means for you to get away from giving the constant
attention of “poo duty” after each meal. To train it, just put the kitten in the box and
see what happens. If nothing happens, try taking its paw gently and show it a pawing
motion or scratching motion in the litter sand. Soon they will understand what it is for
as cats have a natural tendency to cover-up their waste.
22
Weaning
Kittens as soon as age 6 weeks should be weaned and
given solid foods. Start by moistening the dry food because
kittens can’t chew dry food well until about 8 weeks. There
are dry foods sold in pet stores specially made for kittens
which are easily crunched and digested.
A little Love and Care goes a long way
Emotional and physical closeness to you is important to a
growing kitten. Snuggle and pet your kitten often. Playing
your kitten with a variety of toys, objects and places is
important as this will help it develop the neccesary motor
skills and helps further the bond between you and your
little growing ball of fur.
By the way, we rescued this little one near our office right
before Chinese New Year. She was abandoned in a box and
we couldn’t resist not taking her in.

Birdie Talk
Looking for an avian friend?
What should I get?
Choosing the correct bird to own can be somewhat “untouched
waters” for most people. Most Malaysians keep dogs and cats but
keeping pet birds can be a totally different ball game from the rest.
Birds can be a very big handful and can get too much to handle and
live with. Additionally, training a bird is different from training a puppy
or a kitten.
Here we have a small list of four most common bird species that are
kept as pets. With this you will be able to get a general idea on what
kind of bird you are looking for.
Remember! Getting one means a long term commitment to it so think
long and hard before you get one.
Canaries
Canaries are among the most popular and varied
pet birds around. It is a well known fact that canaries
possess excellent vocal talents and vibrant colours.
Canaries are actually finches, and they can be green or
yellow, bright orange, or even brown.
This bird is perfect for people whom are new to bird
care. Canaries do not require as much interaction as
some other species need. It will be totally fine hanging
out in its cage. Canaries in actualy fact prefer to not be
handled much. With this, you would not have to spend
countless hours entertaining your avian pet - instead
let it entertain you for countless hours of chirps and
songs.
Side note: If you want a bird that sings, get a male
canary as female canaries don’t sing.
Finches
These little guys are fast moving, fun to watch, and lively. Finches are like canaries and prefer to not be
handled. Finches are more social and will do much better if they have a partner to play with. These birds need
a cage that gives them ample space to exercise their wings and fly around. Finches get around by flying and
do not climb around for exercise.
Finches are perfectly fine left alone without any handling at all so this makes a good selection for those
whom want a friend but just don’t have the time to play much.
Budgies (Parakeets)
These birds are know for their affectionate personality and intelligence.
Some budgies even become very good talkers (with some hard work
training it).
Budgies are usually timid, but can be tamed slowly by gentle, patient
handling. They also can bond very closely to their owners, sometimes
sticking to them like fly-paper.
Just remember that birds breed in large numbers are harder to tame
because they haven’t been socialised, and they’re more prone to lifethreatening diseases.
Cockatiels
Cockatiels are small parrots which are flat-out loving, and live to snuggle and be petted. The
stereotypical colour of a cockatiel is gray with orange patches, but there are many colors are
available, due to cross breeding.
Some cockatiels can also learn to talk, but many are better at whistling. A cockatiel is another
good bird to introduce new owners to the world of avian pets due the the fact that they are easy
to handle and adore human affection - but must be handled very gently.

Slitherin’ Scales!
By : Mohammad Nazri Hassan Basri @ Uncle Herp
Contact : 012-6888051
“Goodness me, of all the animals….” ,
“Oohhh…. Gives me the creeps…”
When I mention my passion for the slithering, scaly and forked
tongue species this is what I will almost always hear from friends
and relatives alike. Well, I have to respect their thoughts as not
everybody favours reptiles as pets.
Reptiles are the most misunderstood God’s creature on the face
of this earth. Myths and made worst by the never ending stories
which existed since our great-grandfather’s time did not give a
fair perception of these animals. Nevertheless, you’d be surprised
though how many guys and gals out there do own some sort of
reptilian pets.
Yes, reptiles seem to be an in thing amongst some people nowdays.
Most pet shops will carry a species or two of the reptilian kinds.
Amongst those reptiles popular as pets are Iguanas, various types
of pythons, corn snakes, kingsnakes, skinks and exotic turtles. I’m
not sure what makes reptile keeping a trend but you may notice
more and more pet shops sells reptiles.
Mind you though that reptiles are not cheap, especially the more
exotic and rare they are in the market. Most of them are specially
imported species which carries a price tag of thousands of Ringgits.
I came across an advertisement recently selling designer morph
Leopard Gecko for Four Thousand Ringgit. I guess the cost is just a
tip of the iceberg compared to the effort and complexity of getting
these designer morphs. I guess I’d save this topic of “designer
morphs” for the future.
Let’s look as the suitability of reptiles as pets.
First and foremost, if you’re looking for cuddly pets….leave reptiles
out. Reptiles are not your average cats or dogs that you could
cuddle all day long and bring to bed. Reptiles are a “look-but-don’ttouch” sort of pet. Some of them can easily get stressed if handled
too much. Stress is a dangerous condition in reptiles in particular
and may sometimes be a cause of death !
with a bowl of mealworms
left in their terrarium. Do put
a piece of carrot or bread for the
worm’s food or they might end up
making your lizard as food !
If your trip goes beyond a week, please do get somebody to take a
look at them. It is worth to get to know as many people with reptiles as
pets. In case of a long trip, they may be able to baby-sit your reptilian
companion.
Alright, before you go out to the reptile selling pet shop nearest to you,
let’s just take a few things into consideration. Yes, I did mention that
reptiles make good pets. The rule is that this will only be true if you know
what you are getting yourself into. Reptiles, like other animals, needs
quality care more rather than quantity care. You don’t have to spend the
whole day caring for them but you need to give proper attention and
practice proper husbandry. This is what I meant by quality care.
Before acquiring the actual animal, do your research. Ask around. The
internet offers a variety of information on reptile keeping. Books on
reptiles are also easily found in most book shops. So, lack of information
should not be a major obstacle to proper care of the choice animal.
Reptiles tend to live for a fairly long time and some of them (with
proper husbandry) may live more than 20 years ! This is a very long term
commitment to us humans. What we do not want to see is pet reptile
being abandoned when the owner are no longer capable of keeping
them. Remember, our local humane animal organizations are not capable
of taking in reptiles. The best bet is of course the zoo.
This is why if you intend to get a reptile as a pet, get them when
they are still young. Handle them often and let them know that no
harm is intended when people handle them. Chances are, they will
be calm when handled and not stressed. Some lizards are flighty in
the sense that they are fast moving and difficult to handle. In this
case, the “look-but-don’t-touch” policy is totally in effect.
Once all the necessary considerations have been meticulously dealt with,
you can then plan on how and where to acquire the choice reptile. My
advice is to get hatchlings from reputable and reliable breeder. I do not
have anything against pet shops, but some of the pet shop owners have
On the other hand, reptiles make a great pet. The best thing about
reptiles is they need virtually very little space (with an exception
of bigger sized pythons). Leopard gecko would be at home in a 2ft
terrarium. You can easily stack these terrariums on shelves (just like
what I did). This feature makes it ideal for somebody like me who
lives in an apartment to own a reptile pet.
very limited or no knowledge at all on the species. I have seen this too
many times. Only a few bigger and more reputable pet shops specializing
in reptiles will have on hand knowledge of the species and will be able to
advise you accordingly.
Reptiles do not emit foul odors from their droppings (provided you
care for their habitat, you limit your collection and you don’t own
a 20 foot python !).
Reptiles do not make noise (though those who have herpetophobias
(fear of reptiles) may !)
Reptiles and amphibians for that matter are relatively easy to take
care of and some species are very hardy.
Whether you choose a snake, a lizard or turtles and tortoises will basically
depend very much on your ability to care for them once you have done
your research. Don’t get a python if you are squeamish about watching
the guy catching, constricting and swallowing a mouse, rat or rabbits.
Don’t get an iguana if you may not be able to provide a fairly large
enclosure for them once it has reached adult size (of up to 6 ft).
Now that you have chosen your choice reptile, I do hope you will enjoy
having your slitherin’ scaly friend as I have for the past few years…
Most reptiles do not need daily feeding. In fact for some, daily
feeding is not recommended at all. This is ideal for those festive
seasons where a trip back to hometown is a tradition in the family.
Generally, snakes would only require feeding once a week. As
such, you do not need to worry about feeding it for the next 7 days
or so. Insectivorous lizards on the other hand would be contented

Our Furry Friends
Sugar Gliders - Mom look!
It’s a flying squirrel-looking thing!
Sugar Gliders are small little creatures within the family of marsupials
(mammals that have a pouch, just like kangaroos or koalas), which originate
from New Guinea and Southern Australia. True to their namesake, sugar
gliders possess a gliding membrane just like the one the flying squirrel have.
It stretches from their wrists to their ankles and allows them to ‘glide’ (not fly)
from tree to tree. As with all marsupials, only the female sugar gliders possess
a pouch, where they house and raise their young. Sugar gliders are nocturnal
animals, which spend almost their entire live in trees.
Do Sugar Gliders make good pets?
Sugar Gliders make excellent pets. They adapt easily to captivity and can
develop strong bonds with their human owners. They are much more
intelligent than other animals of its size. Its intelligence is somewhat in the
between that of a cat and dog. They can live up to 10 years or longer if taken
care of properly.
So what does a Sugar Glider look like?
They are about 6 inches long, not including their long tails. Their fur is usually
grey/silver with white bellies and a black stripe, which extends from the top
of their head to the end of their tail. They have fairly large, pointy ears (similar
to Yoda’s of the Star Wars franchise) and large beady black eyes. Their face is
similar to that of a possum or a bat.
Baby Sugar Gliders versus Adults
Baby gliders are always preferable to adult, can be difficult to obtain
as they can be quite pricey. Babies are much more preferable because
they are easier to bond with. Plus, the bond with a baby glider you
have raised will always be stronger than a bond developed with an
adult.
What type of housing do Sugar Gliders require?
Sugar gliders is relatively easy and low maintenance animals. The
cage, preferably should be made of wire which provides a place
for them to climb about. If the wire is coated, even the better for
cleaning. Bird cages in the market today work just fine, but making
your own may give you more space and would be tons cheaper. The
cage should be about 3 feet in height and about 1.5 feet floor space.
Gliders require less ground space as they will always be climbing up
and down on branches (do provide some for climbing fun!) and the
sidewalls.

provide some general descriptions which can include:
what breed your pet is, what name does it respond to,
where are you located, contact info and price. We also

Can Sugar Gliders be left alone out of the cage?
Gliders should never be left alone around your house.
They can get lost easily in the jungle of your home and
possibly get injured with a lot of our daily apparatus.
They can be left out of their cage to roam around, they
just need to be watched upon.
Basic nutritional requirements of a Sugar
Glider
Gliders diets consist mostly of fruit and protein. Fruits
like apples and honeydews can be fed to them daily.
They get their protein from meals like crickets, worms
or even yogurt. Anything more or less can be very
harmful, and even fatal. Their diets must be low in fat as
they don’t handle fat very well.
