Eligible Breeds and Registry
Only purebred Afghan Hounds, Azawakhs, Basenjis, Borzoi, Cirneco dell’Etna, Greyhounds, Ibizan Hounds,
Irish Wolfhounds, Italian Greyhounds, Pharaoh Hounds, Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Salukis, Scottish Deerhounds,
Silken Windhounds, Sloughis, and Whippets may be entered in the regular stakes. Limited breeds may be
entered in the Limited Stake or the Singles Stake. Limited breeds currently include purebred Chart Polski,
Galgo Español, Magyar Agar, Peruvian Inca Orchid, Portuguese Podengo (Pequeno), Portuguese Podengo
(Medio & Grande), and must be individually registered with the appropriate registry.
All entries shall be individually registered with the AKC (ILP/PAL included), the NGA, the UKC, the FCI, an
ASFA-recognized foreign or ASFA Board approved registry, or possess a CRN from the SPDBS. A photocopy of
acceptable registry must be submitted with each hound’s first ASFA field trial entry; this requirement is
waived for hounds registered with the NGA.
Electronic Entries and Payment
In 2006, ASFA Operational Policy #287 was revised as follows:
“Fax and email entries may be accepted by Field Trial Secretaries, but only in such cases as
payment (e.g., by Paypal or similar service, or by credit card) is received at the time the entry
is submitted.”
Please read the following instructions carefully:
1.
Send entry fees via Paypal. All forms of Paypal payments, including credit cards, are accepted. In order for WWWA to avoid incurring paypal fees, please follow these instructions carefully!
 Login to your Paypal account at http://www.paypal.com and click on “Pay or Send
Money”
 Click on “Send money to friends or family”
 Enter paypal@wwwhippet.org as the recipient
 Enter your total entry fees in US dollars
 IF you are funding your payment as an instant transfer from a confirmed back account
attached to your Paypal account, there will be no Paypal fee charged to you or
WWWA.
 IF you are funding your payment with a credit or debit card, WWWA will be charged a
PayPal fee. If you choose a payment method that charges WWWA a Paypal fee, the
FTS will reject your payment and you’ll have to try again!
2.
Your final entries MUST be submitted on official ASFA entry forms. You may use the online
Versatility Weekend entry form at http://goo.gl/forms/oePzEWo1A5 to submit your hound’s
entry information; the FTS will email you a pre-formatted entry form that you need to sign
and return via email. Or you may use your own pre-filled official ASFA entry forms, the generic MS Word or PDF versions available on the ASFA website (http://www.asfa.org) or the
entry form available in the premium list to fill out on your computer and then print off and
sign by hand. Then scan the hard copy with your original signature to submit via email.
3.
Email your completed entry forms and any required documents (e.g. scanned/photographed
copies of certification/waiver and registration papers for FTEs) to serendipitywhippets@gmail.com. Your entries MUST:
 Be sent AFTER payment is completed per instructions above.
 Contain an original signature (NOT a typed signature in lieu of original).
 Be accompanied by all associated required paperwork (e.g. certification forms/
waivers, proof of waiver, and AKC registration for FTEs)
 Be submitted on official ASFA entry forms
 Be emailed with a date/time stamp before the early entry deadline (6:00 p.m., Thursday, May 26, 2016)
4.
Receipt of all electronic entries WILL be acknowledged by the FTS.
5.
Sorry, electronic payment is for early entries only. We can’t accept credit card payments the
day of the trial unless you are set up to use the Paypal app on your phone—remember cell
service is spotty at the field!
6.
Questions? Contact Beth Levine at serendipitywhippets@gmail.com. All questions will be
answered as promptly as possible!
A photocopy of acceptable registry must be submitted with a hound’s first ASFA field trial entry; this requirement is waived for Greyhounds registered with the NGA registry.
