DOSSIER FINAL A5 de HERENCIA ENGLISH
marco de ana PRESENTS HERENCIA "... Similarly to the Jazz and the Blues, the Ragtime and the Bossanova and many other musical expressions, the Flamenco stands as a cultural expression of the people on the margins ..." “Herencia" means our compromise with the past, our conviction of seeing the future by feeling the present. Similar to a rough diamond, we present the Flamenco in its natural and spontaneous stage. a cultural expression from the southern Andalucía with simple, natural things, such as walking. We express it without expectations. The clapping, the singing, the guitar and the dance are the main characters of this show. The rhythmic components are the elements which mark the route. The flamenco implies freedom of artistic expression. Improvisation are part of the script. It is how men and women always have danced. “Herencia" is directed through these aspects, maintaining the ancestral spirit and searching for the authenthic sound of our referent sources.
