Wooden boats from throughout the northwest are on display at Toledo’s Waterfront Park and Marina. The show offers a variety of free activities including maritime related informational booths, kids’ games, live music, and boat building activities. The show also features local arts and crafts vendors, delicious food offerings, and a silent auction. Horse corral, potato cannons & more along waterfront. Lifejacket safety at Coast Guard Station. Boat rides at Boathouse. WELCOME! Enjoy a Saturday morning pancake, egg, & sausage breakfast, danishes & more down by the river starting at 8am. Exhibitor, Vendor, & Canoe Jousting registrations begin at Port Booth at 8am. Family & Youth Boat Building begins at 9am until 4pm. 10am - Wooden Boat Show opens Kids activities, poker paddle, & more! Family Boat Building: Watch as families assemble their own “Yaquina 15” kayaks using pre-cut assembly kits designed special for the Toledo Wooden Boat Show. 11am - Canoe Jousting in marina: Round 1 of 2. Registration at Boathouse. 12pm - Pirate Wedding on docks RISE & SHINE on Sunday with biscuits & gravy at the river observing wildlife beginning at 8am, and enjoying Scottish bagpipe music. 3pm - Containerboard Race awards at pavillion 3:30pm - Canoe Jousting in marina: Round 2 of 2. Registration at Boathouse. 4:30pm - Awards at Pavilion for Canoe Jousting 5pm - Silent Auction closes. Poker Paddle Winner announced at Boathouse 6pm - Show closes. See you tomorrow! The 2014 Race is Saturday at 1pm! 10am - Wooden Boat Show opens Kids activities, poker paddle, & more! 12:30pm - Kayak Safety Demo by Tom Murphy at marina 1pm - Launch of Youth built boats at marina 1:30pm - Youth Obstacle Course at marina. Bring your own boat or borrow one of ours. 2:30pm - Launch of Family Boat Building kayaks at marina Launch of Youth and Family Boat Building Boats on Sunday afternoon 3:30pm - People’s Choice winner announced at Pavilion Stage. Silent Auction closes. Poker Paddle Winner announced at Boathouse 4pm - Show closes. See you next year! Be sure to vote for your favorite boat by completing the People’s Choice Award! GP Containerboard Boat Contest: On Saturday watch contestants race their Containerboard Boats and vote for your favorite . There is a special award for the most spectacular sinking! Canoe Jousting: Cheer for participants as they joust from canoes in Depoe Slough or come join the competition. Register at Boathouse. Ages 14+. Youth Boat Building: Youth ages 10-18 can assemble an 8ft “Elegant Punt” of their own on Saturday using precut assembly kits designed special for the Wooden Boat Show. Preregistration required. The cost to youth is $25 and subsidized thanks to community sponsors. Free Poker Paddle: Paddle to floating mailboxes in the Slough to get your hand of cards. Loaner boat and life jackets available. Prize for Best Poker Hand. Boat Rides: Check in at the Boathouse for a ride on the Teak Ladies or the Capt. Ben F. or the kid-friendly “El Torro”. Great Food & Live Music: Food includes fresh oysters at the Chowder Bowl booth, Fish Tacos at the Pavilion, Hot Dogs & Burgers at the Loose Caboose & more! Port Booth: Information, First Aid, and event t-shirts, sweatshirts, and posters for sale.
