Take Fabulous Photos of your Kids Follow our simple steps to start taking better photos of your kids and loved ones! Take photos that capture personality & help your subject shine! Click LOVE Grow Find Soft Light If you’re photographing your family and they’re facing then sun, then chances are they’re going to be squinting and uncomfortable which isn’t capturing them at their best. Instead of placing your subjects right in the sun try stepping into the shade which can usually be found close by! Look for open shade under trees, under patios or in the shade of large buildings! You can also take photos in the shade provided by cloudy overcast days and during the soft light found around sunrise and sunset! Look at your subjects faces and you’ll know you have soft light if you can’t see strong distracting shadows. Avoid the Squinting from Bright Sunlight Click LOVE Grow Get Down to kids’s Eye Level The quickest way to improve your child photography is to simply get down to their level. An easy novice mistake is to photograph down on children at an angle which hides their face, obscures their expressions, and captures the top of their head. Getting low will let you compose your image at eye level, and it will also allow much better interaction with your subject. Click LOVE Grow Don’t say Cheeeese! When we ask our kids to say cheese, they’re usually very happy to oblige, and the grimacing cheese is what they’ll deliver! Take natural & engaging shots of your kids by keeping your photos playful! Use jokes and humour to take photos as your kids are laughing or those cheeky moments in-between giggles! Remember that your subject doesn’t always have to be looking at the camera, as those beautiful ‘looking away’ shots can also capture beautiful expressions. Use humour to capture natural and personality filled photos! Click LOVE Grow Kids Photography Checklist!
