It is with great pleasure that I invite you to the first edition of the “Open of Montreal” to be held at “Sports Complex Claude-Robillard” in Montreal, Quebec, Saturday, May 9, 2015. We encourage you to come and test your skills as an athlete, coach at the last championship of the sports season 2014-2015. Sportsmanship will be strongly applied to preserve the integrity of our Olympic martial art. Have fun during this experience and compete with the best people. I look forward to working with everyone in this first edition of “Open Montreal 9. The sport most practiced in Quebec after Soccer, conveys values that I hold dear: rigor, perseverance, reliability, selfconfidence and respect for each other. Taekwondo is one of the best tools to channel the energy of our youth and to teach him life. His teaching is valuable. Open Montreal is born of the constant and ongoing effort to Master Abdelilah Es Sabbar for the promotion of Taekwondo and has been since his arrival in Quebec. His tenacity was rewarded today for the sake of us all and passion together 600 top athletes, Quebec and all provinces of Canada, under the banner of the competition and the search for transcendence. I wish the Open Montreal of Taekwondo in its first edition, the success it deserves. I am convinced that the tournament will settle over time and must be part of a tradition of sports of people in Montreal, Quebec and Canada.
