Six different valleys, six panoramic ridge lines. The Navigli and the Lombardy countryside, the vineyards of Emilia, and finally the sea in Liguria, crossing the Apennines between Piacenza and Genoa. travel highlights Pedaling along the panoramic road of the Cinque Terre is an experience that feeds the soul. At Passo del Termine the horizon is tinged with Mediterranean blue – we’re 500 meters above sea, soaring over Monterosso, and it feels like you’re about to take flight. This is Italy, people. And it’s almost like flying as we follow the silent little winding road, suspended between sky and sea, that will lead us to Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. It’s the grand finale of this VeloTour that starts with flat roads from Milan, and then alternates between valleys and ridges, taking us to explore one of the most enchanting and wild places in Italy, the Cinque Terre. In Porto Venere boats are waiting to take us for a swim in the open sea, where the water grows even more blue. Then we cross by ferry to Lerici and then on to Tellaro, a little village nestled on the reef where rocky Liguria gives way to the first beaches of Tuscany.
