Please bring a baby book along with your gift to help Nolan build his library! Fight Club is a men’s discipleship resource developed by men, for men, to reach men - to turn the tide on mediocrity and cause men to stand and say “not on my watch!” RSVP to Angie Rebholz Call or text 260.571.9037 Fight Club is a 12-week journey where men are required to complete weekly challenges within the context of community and accountability. A 3-strike rule applies to all challenges. These challenges change weekly and cover spiritual, relational, and physical assignments, along with Scripture memory and many opportunities to try something new, sometimes intimidating, sometimes just-for-fun. There are two required midnight gatherings (the first being kick-off night), but most requirements are on your own schedule. INDIANA DISTRICT GATHERING, Part 2….. Brethren from across the Indiana District will be getting together on Sunday, Feb. 8 at the County Line Brethren Church from 4-8 pm to eat, talk, worship, pray and share about how God is at work in our local churches and in the Indiana District. This will be a great chance to hear about ministry activities and opportunities in other churches and to share about what God is doing at College Corner. It will be a chance to both celebrate and dream about what God is doing in and through the Indiana District. Seventeen churches were represented at our first gathering this past fall. The response was overwhelmingly positive and the desire for more of these gatherings was echoed over and over. I (Pastor Billy) will be attending and would love for some of you to come along and share in the experience. We need to RSVP to County Line by February 1. Let me know if you would like to participate in this event. The name FIGHT CLUB comes from Nehemiah 4:14: After I looked things over, I stood up and said to the officials, the nobles, and the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.” For more info & details, visit www.fightclub414.com or talk with one of our Fight Club grads: Pastor Billy, Brian Carpenter, Rodney Culver, Paul Dennison, Gary Kelley, Rick Mahan, and Jeremy Sweet. Welcome to the Club, the Fight Club where men fight for what really matters. CHILD PROTECTION & VOLUNTEER TRAINING JUST FOR TEENS! JUNIOR & SENIOR HIGH YOUTH GROUP SCHEDULE: Due to some changes in leadership, youth group meeting dates are not yet known for the month of February. Please be watching the bulletin for upcoming meetings. More information on meeting dates & times will be given to youth & parents once they have been determined. Thank you for your patience during this time of transition! Sunday, February 8th following the worship service. Lunch and fun games will be provided! Even if you would like to volunteer in an area outside of working with children (ie: technology, trustees, worship, etc), please stay to hear more about what it looks like to be a teen volunteer at CCBC. Please RSVP to Shelby Drake if you plan to attend. CCBC Children’s Ministries I Child Protection Training in February ADULTS: If you have not yet attended a training there is one left on February 1 during the Sunday School hour. This training, while refresher for some, is a good time to brush up on our current policies and procedures. This year, in addition to some classroom management strategies, I will also be sharing some Orange principles that I believe we can introduce easily into our current programs. Principles I believe will benefit the relationships we are forging here at CCBC with our families. TEENS: (For those 13 and up by July 1. For those who turn 13 after July 1, the next training will be in June.) If you would like to volunteer in our nurseries, children’s worship, or with VBS, there will be a special training for you following the morning worship service on February 8. Lunch will be provided and we will stay until 1:00. (Parents, feel free to leave your kiddos and come back!) Please RSVP to Shelby if you will be staying. Vacation Bible School plans are in MOTION! Join us this year, May 31—June 4, for G-Force Adventure Park VBS! During this mission focused VBS, kids will explore how to put their faith into action. They will discover how to fuel up and move in and through life with God. Be prepared to watch our church come alive with movement and images of all sorts of kid-friendly transportation, such as skateboards, running shoes, in-line skates and more! Watch for sign ups and volunteer meeting dates to come beginning in March! We are beginning to talk more about Orange—a philosophy of how to structure our children, youth, and family ministries. If you would like to be a part of the discussions, please let Shelby know. Our next Family Focused Sunday will be on March 29th.
