REQUIREMENTS
Empire Beauty School accepts
foreign nationals with:
• A valid non-immigrant status who are eligible
to attend school.
• Foreign nationals may enroll at our Manhattan
location if they posses an M-1 visa.
OPPORTUNITIES FOR
INTERNATIONAL
STUDENTS
The M-1 visa is a type of student visa reserved
for vocational and technical schools. To obtain
an M-1 visa for traveling to the United States,
a student must present a signed Form I-20 at
a United States embassy or consulate in her/his
home country.
Students in M-1 status may not work on or
off campus while studying, and they may not
change their status to F-1.
**Eligibility to enroll does not ensure access to
Federal Financial Student Aid. Financial Aid is
available only to those who qualify.
In addition to the M-1 visa, eligible students
must have a valid high school diploma or
equivalent. Foreign diplomas must be translated
and evaluated from a recognized agency such
as World Education Services (WES), Globe
Language Services, and Educational
Credential Evaluators (ECE).

Our Manhattan campus, located on West 34th

salon-focused curriculum is designed to give

At Empire, you’ll learn:

and haircutting trends

a book of clients

• Learn to visualize, imagine and construct
styles using hair as a medium
• Share knowledge, skills and design
interpretations
MAKEUP & MAKEUP APPLICATION
• Learn how to choose makeup colors to
complement skin tones, facial features
and more.
• Learn the latest trends with integrated
demonstrations and hands-on student
practice.
MARKETING SKILLS
SALON
& SPA
Develop marketing and communication
skills to attract loyal salon clients and
build your business through positive
word of mouth.
The cosmetology program
takes about 35 weeks to
complete for full time students.
All courses are taught in English. Textbooks and
course materials are only offered in the English Language.
