The Integrity Curriculum The Integrity Curriculum is a combination of 5 courses from Living Free (Turning Point) publications and 3 from Family Integrity Training. The literature provides structure for six focus areas: (1) Parenting, (2) Personal Integrity, (3) Desicion Making, (4) Anger Management, (5) Relationsips, and (6) Economics. These materials help leaders to facilitate small-group sessions where participant solve thier own problems using group support. Each structured lesson is self-contained and builds on previous lessons. Where possible, each participant is given his/her own book to write in and prepare for the next disscussion. A separate facilitator guide is available for each of the eight books. FIT is a 501(c)3 faithbased corporation whose goal is to enrich and facilitate successful living. FIT reaches beyond church denominations to provide excellent lifeskills training to clients across traditional religious barriers. FIT assists at-risk populations in transitioning back into successful living. The FIT program targets those currently in or transitioning from prisons, jails, half-way houses, or destructive life experiences. FIT accomplishes this through mentoring, specialized course materials, and a group format that empowers clients to rise above their personal struggles and live life more successfully. So what does FIT do to accomplish these goals? Some FIT statistics: • 5,200 course graduates • 81,000 recorded contact hours • 18 prisons • 16 half-way houses • 5 jails • 3 churches, 2 community centers • graduates 64% male, 36% female TRAINS facilitators to effectively use FIT materials. Raises funds to provide FREE MATERIALS for FIT courses. Provides CUSTOM CERTIFICATES for each graduate of each completed course. Keeps complete RECORDS and uses them to work with probation officers, courts, social agencies, etc. Get involved! go to 100hour.org and see what the program is all about! So why faith-based? Although the FIT curriculum is based on tested psychological and social theories, adding the element of spirituality acts as a re-enforcer to the course materials. This is something that can often make a difference in whether or not a client “sticks with” what they learned in the courses. P.O.
