Some people might think Fast
& Furious is just another dumb
flick about cars. However, I’m able
to pick up on the film’s subtle insights on some of the world’s more pressing
matters.
Almost halfway through the film, Vin Diesel’s
character nails the cars vs. women debate
(which is hotter?) right on the head when he
says, “I’m one of those boys who appreciates a
fine body, regardless of the make.”
One of those boys, eh? Yeah, try pretty much all
of us. Which is why, this year, as it approached
time for our annual “Pimp My Ride” and
swimsuit issues, we decided to combine
the two.
So we gathered a blonde bombshell, two
gorgeous brunettes and some hot rides atop the
East End parking garage for what may be one of
our most memorable photo shoots to date. A
few onlookers who were hanging out the windows of a neighboring apartment building can
attest to that.
Surprisingly enough, the sexiest part of the
whole thing wasn’t all the gorgeous headlights
or well-shaped trunks. It was the fact that a
1937 hot rod, equipped with chrome rims,
pulled up with a young woman behind the
wheel. You go girl. ◆
