Achieve quality data with a flexible, high-throughput system at a dramatically lower cost per data point A look inside Nexar Optimized for End-Point PCR End-Point PCR The Nexar, Soellex® water bath and Araya® detector provide an ideal platform for end-point PCR. True high throughput capabilities with miniaturized reaction volumes and reduced consumable costs create a highly efficient, data-generating system to provide dramatic decreases in cost per data point and equally impressive increases in throughput. The system is compatible with crude DNA preparation and offers flexibility in chemistry selection. The Nexar Optimized for End-Point Isothermal DNA Amplification is configured to provide walk- away operation by integrating liquid handling, incubation and detection in one instrument. Leverage DNAble® chemistry by EnviroLogix™ to achieve exponential Nucleic Acid amplification at one constant temperature. Go from sample to answer in 15 minutes or less. Custom Automation Service Name the high throughput application, and we’ll put the power of Douglas Scientific innovation to work for you. The team at Douglas Scientific delivers extensive experience in motion and movement, automated processing, and high throughput applications such as: • Sample Purification/Extraction • Liquid Handling • Miniaturized Reactions • Incubation • Thermal Cycling • Detection • High Capacity PCR • Customized Compound Embedding in Array Tape • And more! This experience, coupled with our rapid development capabilities provides customers with a truly responsive collaborative development partner. Chemistry Seal the array Product Parallel Channel CyBio End-Point Isothermal DNA Amplification Add reagent Parallel channel pipetting from plates using the CyBio LDH head provides rapid sample and reagent dispense into Array Tape using 96- or 384- tips in either full or quadrant stamping in a range of 600 nL to 800 nL. FLUID HANDLING Applications Dry sample (optional) The Nexar System supports sample and reagent processing with interchangeable dual head dispensing. An assortment of flexible dispensing options can be tailored to your individual process. Non-contact, multi-channel, high speed dispensing a dispense range of 250 nL to 2,500 nL. The inline configuration of the Nexar® provides automation for varied protocols. Take a closer look at a few standard modules. Dispense sample and wash pipette tips Automated Liquid Handling The Nexar is an open system supporting most PCR fluorescencebased chemistries including industry-leading brands such as LGC’s KASP genotyping chemistries, Life Technologies TaqMan® and more. Plate Storage The standard serial plate delivery module accommodates up to 20 plates. For larger plate quantities, the Nexar integrates with HighRes Biosolutions’ AmbiStore™; a high capacity, random access carousel (managing up to 672, 96- or 384-well low-profile plates in the M model). Tape Sealing Array Tape® seal management is achieved through the use of an inline tape sealing module. After liquid dispensing is complete, Array Tape is automatically sealed to secure the reaction in the wells and eliminate the potential for amplicon contamination. An optional chiller plate is available to delay sample reactions prior to amplification and detection. Incubation An inline incubation module allows for unattended sample amplification at ambient or elevated temperatures. Inline incubation modules enable walk-away end-point isothermal DNA amplification processing. Intellics® Software Intellics® provides centralized data management and instrument monitoring through the Dashboard. Achieve advanced instrument operation and intelligent run optimization with the Array Builder™, a protocol generator. IntelliScore® streamlines the analysis of your data. All applications are web-based, for ease of access and convenient maintenance. Scientific Support Our expert scientific team offers a variety of services to ensure your lab gets up and running, produces reliable data, and runs at maximum efficiency. Whether you’re developing new assays or want help optimizing existing assays, Douglas Scientific will be there for you. AmbiStore M Model
