very month in 2015, the Madison Black Chamber will publicize a different category of Black-owned businesses in order to make it easy to contact them. This is a
follow-up to the recently published Black Business Directory which we published
in January 2015. This convenience is intended to stimulate sales and increased
business opportunities. The only way our businesses will thrive and prosper is by
patronizing them. We are depending on you.

For March, our focus is on six Black-owned photography businesses operating in the Madison
area today. In a city this size, we are fortunate to have this many. We are promoting the following
businesses: Krystal Images Photography, Hedi Lamarr Photography, LP Forever Memories, Marcus Miles Photography, UMOJA Magazine, and ACTION Photography.
Let it not be said that you don’t know who the Black photographers are. We are giving you a brief
run-down of their specialties and their direct contact information. In turn, we expect that this
will help increase their business sales. Everybody needs a professional photographer. Selfies and
smart phones cannot substitute for the knowledge and care that a professional brings. If you do
business with anyone of these photographers, you will help their business grow.
We have seen the work of all of these photographers and can vouch for their excellence. They are
all local. Give them a try and you will be pleased. Recommend them to the company you work for.
Suggest them to a friend. Utilize their services. In this way, we can help each other and reinvest
our share of the 1.3 trillion Black dollars that will be spent in 2015.
In future months, we will focus on Food businesses,
Music performance, Beauty and barber shops and other categories. Look
for a new category every month.
