TRX-308 BATTLERAIL™ INSTRUCTION MANUAL warning! Observe safe firearm handling practices at all times. Make sure the firearm is unloaded and safety is engaged before starting installation. Installation should be performed by qualified gunsmith only! Tools Required: Ball-peen hammer, hex wrench, thread locking compound, drift punch, armorers wrench, torque wrench, supplied barrel nut. 1. Strip upper by removing front sight, flash hider/compensator, lower receiver, handguards and barrel nut. 2. Thread new Troy barrel nut onto the receiver by hand. 3. Using armorers tool torque Troy barrel nut to 30-50 ft lbs making sure to align slots in barrel nut to holes in receiver for gas tube. 4. Remove gas tube from old sight. Install gas tube into low profile gas block using roll pin and drift punch. 5. Install gas tube and low-profile gas block onto barrel. 6. Make sure gas tube lines up with slot on barrel nut, and can slide into upper receiver hole with no interference. 7. Add low-strength thread locking compound to gas block screws then tighten. 8. Slide the rail onto barrel with the top picatinny rail rotated approximately 5 degrees off center and slide onto barrel nut aligning slots of rail to teeth on barrel nut. 9. Once rail is fully depressed on barrel nut, rotate rail to align top picatinny rail with top rail on upper receiver. 10. Tighten screws on bottom or rail only enough so that rail is tight to barrel nut. (DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN) There should still be a visible gap between the clamp.
