When my son/daughter registers, can we request roommates? Yes, there’s a place to type in names who you want to bunk with and we will do our best to accommodate your requests. 2. How many coaches/counselors are there? We have a 12:1 staff to player ratio so that supervision can be constant. In addition to the Penn United Soccer Camps staff, Camp Krislund will have specialist staff to help with non-soccer activities. 3. Are boys and girls separated? Yes. In the Fellowship Lodge (players 11-14 only) there are 4 rooms of 10 beds. Each room has a lock. Boys will be separate from the girls. The Summer Housing cabin options (players 9-14) are the same. Boys are separate from the girls. 4. Are the players supervised at night? Yes. Players are not by themselves at night. Male counselors are with the boys and female counselors are with girls. 5. What’s the bathroom situation at the camp? Bathrooms are en-suite in the Fellowship Lodge. The renovated bath house is used for players staying in the Summer Housing. Porta-Potties are also available adjacent to Summer Housing cabins which can be used at night. The bath house is divided into two-with boys and girls separated. 6. Why is the Fellowship Lodge a higher fee? We pay a fee to Krislund per player to stay on the camp. The Fellowship Lodge offers less rustic accommodations and is newly renovated. Krislund’s cost for us renting the lodge is higher. 7. What time do we arrive on Thursday 5th July? 2:30pm -3:15pm is check in time. Parents can settle players into their accommodation and we can handle the rest. We’ll have a camp meeting for campers at 3:45pm followed by our first session at 4pm. Our first meal will be dinner at 5:30pm. 8. What do we need to pack/bring? This will be sent to campers approximately one week before camp starts. 9. Is there a way to contact my child while camp is going on? Yes. There is a main phone number for camp for parents to call, or you can e-mail us at: pennunitedcamps@gmail.com There is cell phone coverage. Campers can keep phones charged in the Fellowship Lodge (no outlets in summer housing option). 10. Can parents visit while camp is going on? Yes. We’ll have games in the evening from 6:45pm-8:00pm. That is the set time for parents to visit. 11. My child is 8 years old-close to being 9 when camp starts. Can I still register him/her? Yes. If you feel your child would be okay away from home, that’s fine (maybe a group of his/her friends are going too). 12. How are the kids divided during camp? Players are divided based on age. We have the ability to move players around so they have a fun and enjoyable camp with their friends. 13. Is there a trainer on site? Yes. We’ll have a trainer on site the entire time. The trainer will be available 24/7 and will be stationed at the infirmary. 14. My child has a food allergy. Can the camp’s food service accommodate? Yes. We have a section on the registration form that will allow you to list any food allergies. We can let Krislund know as well as the trainer. 15. What’s the registration process?
