Historic Birthplace of Minnesota - Stillwater JUNE EVENTS St. Croix River Art Scavenger Hunt Through June 29 (Closing Reception) 4‐6pm Art Reach St. Croix Gallery 651.439.1465 224 N. 4th St., Stillwater This Portrait Meander is an interactive art exhibition. The show features 16 portraits by Terry Hildebrand whose figures have been carefully cut out from the painted panels and hidden along the St. Croix River Valley from Taylors Falls to Stillwater. Look for the figures, return them to ArtReach St. Croix, and if you find a portrait figure post your photo at ArtReach event Facebook page. Get an up‐close view and information from engineers on‐board a paddle boat tour on the St. Croix river. In partnership with St. Croix Crossing ‐ MN DOT, WI DOT, and St. Croix Boat & Packet, tours of the St. Croix River bridge construction connecting MN to WI will begin on May 31st. Rivertown Art Festival May 31 & June 1‐ Saturday & Sunday 10am‐4pm Stillwater Chamber of Commerce Lowell Park Downtown Stillwater Riverfront Annual spring Art Festival on the banks of the beautiful St. Croix River. This juried event draws artists from around the country. Featuring ceramics, clothing, drawings, fiber, glass, jewelry, leather, painting, paper, photography, wood and more. Food Vendors. Cruisin' on The Croix ‐ Hot Rod & Vintage Car Show June 4‐Aug. 27, Every Wednesday 5‐9pm Lowell Park Downtown Stillwater Riverfront FREE EVENT. Come to Stillwater EVERY Wednesday night during June, July and August to simply admire "the vintage & hot rod cars" or bring your classic car for show. Vendors, live music, and a fun scene. Stop by the Historic Warden's House Museum for a presentation and book signing of "Dakota Child, Governor's Daughter" by author Bruce Kohn. This is a FREE program presented by the Washington County Historical Society. Farmer's Market Opens Soon June 14 ‐ Oct. 25‐ Saturdays 7:30am ‐Noon Veteran's Memorial Park in Stillwater Start your weekend out with a fresh assortment of organic food, vegetables, crafts, fruits and local specialties. North Star Bicycle Festival & Grand Prix June 15 ‐ Sunday. 10:30am‐4:00pm Stillwater Criterium‐ Final Event The Festival runs June 11‐15 with the North Star Grand Prix portion once again returning to historic downtown Stillwater for the grand finale and signature event. The Stillwater course features a trek up Chilkoot Hill and heart stopping downhill turns that stretch the riders' bike handling skills to their limits to give this criterium an international reputation as the hardest in North America. Rockin Ribs on the River June 20‐21 ‐ Fri. 5‐10pm, Sat. & Sun. 11am‐10pm Lakeside Park in Bayport 651.439.4001 Rockin' Ribs on the River music event kicks off on Friday night just a few miles from downtown Stillwater. Enjoy Wine & Beer Garden, Great BBQ and Live Blues Music. $5 Admission and kids under 15 are free. The event will go down with musical headliners David Ybarra and the Northside Dukes, as well as performances by Mick Sterling and the Irresistible's and Crankshaft. Craft Beer Dinner Tour on Trolley June 26‐ Thurs. 5:30‐9:30pm (more dates available) Foodies on Foot 1.855.2FOODIES Foodies On Foot is collaborating with Lift Bridge Brewery and Stillwater Trolley Co. for a progressive beer dinner in beautiful Stillwater. The three and half hour culinary event includes a narrated trolley tour of historic Stillwater, private tour of brewery, 4 Stillwater restaurants, 4‐ course dinner and conversation with the Lift Bridge guys, each course prepared and served with a specific Lift Bridge Beer. Stillwater Live Music Days June 26‐29 ‐ Thursday ‐ Sunday 5:30‐9:30pm Downtown Stillwater Restaurants & Pubs Downtown Stillwater bars and restaurants host four days of live music with 50 acts in 14 venues.
