PRESIDENT
MESSAGE

ear Members of Green
Briar - The summer heat is
already here and many of you
are enjoying the pool! Let's
keep the clubhouse and pool a
place where young and old can
have a good time. This will only
be possible if we all respect the
rules. These rules were made so
everyone could not only enjoy
the amenities, but also be safe.
It might not always seem that
way, but it is!
The Board of Directors and
I, as President, want to encourage our members to support
our events and activities. There
are many communities in and
around Central Florida, and
Florida itself as well as other
States, that would love to have
a clubhouse and amenities as
we have for members to enjoy.
This is your club and we
strive to maintain the clubhouse and grounds as best as
we can for the enjoyment of
everyone and plan activities
and events for members to enjoy. Unfortunately, over the past
few years, support for and attendance at these activities has
diminished. We would love to
be able to offer all our events
and activities free of charge;
however, that is impossible.
This year it has been decided that there will be NO 4th
of July open house. However,
members please support your
club and attend our great Labor Day Luau! The more united

we are as a community, the less
crime will come into it.
We have many volunteer
positions open on various committees. Please join us so we can
keep this community a great
place to live!
Please take note of our new
office hours starting June 1,
2016: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday - 8:30 a.m. till 4
p.m.. The office will be closed
on Wednesdays. GB

Meeting
Tuesday,
June 7 at 7pm
IMPORTANT!!
To All the homeowners or tenants in the Patio Homes that
have not removed the mailboxes: Please remove them
ASAP. If they are not removed
by the June 10th, we will have
someone remove them and you
will be charged for the removal.
GB
ANNOUNCEMENT
The clubhouse office
hours have changed
effective June 01, 2016
Monday thru Friday,
except Wednesday offices
will be closed.
Hours of operation:
8:30am to 4:00pm.
If you have any question,
concerns or any problem to
resolve, please verify our office hours. Remember to
come during our working
office hours.
1
DO YOU CARE?
Do you know that everything
you think, say and do reflects
who you are as an individual
and, in every aspect, defines
you as a person, parent, family
member, professional, neighbor, etc.
Whether you are a homeowner or tenant, your actions
can either enhance the value of
your property and those of
your neighbors or they can deteriorate and devalue your
property, where you live and
the community as a whole.
Let's go over a few of these
things:
1) Do you park your car in
your garage, driveway, street or on
the grass?
For those who are parking
cars on the grass we would like
to remind you whether you are
an homeowner or a tenant you
are in violation of the Covenants & Restrictions.
2) Do you trim your trees,
hedges, shrubbery and throw all
the branches and leaves on the curb
whatever day of the week, without
bundling according to specifications and expecting Solid Waste to
pick it up and haul it away for you.
Remember to cut your tree
branches, hedges and shrubbery into 3 ft. long bundles and
tie them up. Solid Waste will
not remove whatever you leave
at the curb unless it meets the
criteria for yard waste pickup;
it's also an eyesore!
3) Do you take furniture, carpet, computers, appliances, etc.
2
and leave it at the curb on whatever day you wish without calling
Solid Waste to pick it up?
You must call or email Solid
Waste in advance to schedule a
pickup date for these large
items. Large items left out at the
curb are an eyesore to the community and decreases the value
of your property.
PEOPLE OF
GREEN BRIAR
4) Do you come to the pool,
break the rules and encourage others with your behavior because
there is no one to police or to tell
you not to do this or that?
Whatever you do in the
pool or in the clubhouse is all
recorded on cameras. This is
your clubhouse to enjoy. Take
care of it so you may use it in
the future without having to increase the dues because of the
actions of a few that decided
that they don't care.
GOOD WISHES &
SPEEDY RECOVERY
There are consequences to
everything we do! Be conscious
about what you have, the benefits and how to enjoy; otherwise, what we take for granted
today may not be here tomorrow! GB
A big "Hi" and "Glad to Have
You" to all those new settlers owners and renters. You have
chosen the greatest location for
a new home. Green Briar is
within reach of EVERYTHING
- shops, roads, the airport,
schools, houses of worship, entertainment, theme parks, both
coasts of the Florida peninsula,
you name it and we got it and,
if we don't got it yet, we will get
it - just for you.

First Wednesday, Monthly @ Remington
OUT OF THE PRESIDENT'S
GOLF BAG
Summer brings hot weather and some
of our players have headed north to escape.
We will miss you and look forward
to your return. We will continue to play
at Remington for this new season and
have finalized the contract with great
rates and lunch options. I am very
happy with our terms and hope we have
another great year there.
During the next few months I will
be introducing a new feature to our
newsletter. We will spotlight some
members of the WGA to let you know a
little more about them. Our first spotlight is on Ira Fleckman, who is the current secretary to the WGA.
Ira also has served as a secretary to
the WGA in the past and has been a great
asset to the association in many ways
volunteering to do many other tasks. Ira
has been playing with us since 2001. He
is a retired educator, wrestler, coach and
served as state editor for the WRESTLING USA Magazine. He is an avid
reader who reads several books a month.
He also keeps up with current events
and is an extremely informed person on
many subjects.
Closest to the pin: Tom Gill, Steve
Jones, Rich O'Neil, Efrain Ruiz, Dennis
Wolfe, Tim Charlton, Bill Marcontell,
Santiago Lopez, Don Groesbeck, Ron
Marble, and Rita Behnken.
As usual we are still welcoming new
members and your efforts to recruit
them are appreciated. Please have anyone interested contact myself at 407-7781379 or Ira Fleckman at 407-352-9314.
Hope to see you on the course.
Golf is a fascinating game. It has taken
me nearly forty years to discover that I can't
play it.

THE FLAG
I am the flag of the United States of America.
My name is Old Glory.
I fly atop the world's tallest buildings.
I stand watch in America's halls of justice.
I fly majestically over institutions of learning.
I stand guard with power in the world.
Look up ... and see me.
I stand for peace, honor, truth and justice.
I stand for freedom.
I am confident.
I am arrogant.
I am proud.
When I am flown with my fellow banners,
my head is a little higher,
my colors a little truer.
I bow to no one!
I am recognized all over the world.
I am worshipped -- I am saluted.
I am loved -- I am revered.
I am respected -- and I am feared.
I have fought in every battle of every war
for more then 200 years.
I was flown at Valley Forge,
Gettysburg, Shiloh and Appamatox.
I was there at San Juan Hill,
the trenches of France,
in the Argonne Forest,
Anzio, Rome, and the beaches of Normandy.
Guam, Okinawa, Korea and
KheSan, Saigon, Vietnam know me.
I was there.
I led my troops.
I was dirty, battleworn and tired,
but my soldiers cheered me
And I was proud.
I have been burned, torn and trampled
on the streets of countries I have helped set free.
It does not hurt, for I am invincible.
I have been soiled upon, burned, torn
and trampled on the streets of my country.
And when it's by those whom I've served in battle - it hurts.
But I shall overcome -- for I am strong.
I have slipped the bonds of Earth
and stood watch over the uncharted frontiers of
space
from my vantage point on the moon.
I have borne silent witness
to all of America's finest hours.
But my finest hours are yet to come.
When I am torn into strips and used as bandages
for my wounded comrades on the battlefield,
When I am flown at half-mast to honor my soldier,
Or when I lie in the trembling arms of a grieving
parent
at the grave of their fallen son or daughter,
I am proud.
My name is 'Old Glory'!
Long may I wave
o'er the land of the free
and the home of the brave.

New Clubhouse Hours:

embers and Tenants with
Assignment of Rights by
Owners (who are members),
clubhouse hours are 7:00am to
10:45pm; pool hours are 7:00am
up to dusk.
These facilities are here for
the enjoyment of you, your
family and any guests you
bring with you. The operating
expenses to keep up the maintenance of the facilities comes
out of members’ dues. When
our facilities are vandalized, it
increases the operating expenses of the clubhouse,
thereby causing a possible increase in dues.
For past years, we haven’t
had to increase the dues because we have managed our
operating expenses very well.
Therefore, we encourage everyone and believe it is the responsibility of each member and tenants who have clubhouse
privileges to take care of the
facilities and not allow misconduct, violations of rules & regulations and vandalism. GB

CLUBHOUSE GUESTS
As you may know, members
may bring up to five guests to
the Clubhouse to use our facilities. Please remember the following:
• Guests should be accompanied by a member. - or • If the member is not going
to accompany the guest, the
member must complete and
sign a guest pass and get it
approved by the office prior
to the visit. Signature on the
guest pass indicates that the
member will be responsible
for any activity and/or damage to the clubhouse. They
may then lend their key to
their guest. Guest must
bring a copy of the guest
pass with them if not accompanied by a member.
• If a proposed guest lives in
Williamsburg and is not a
member of Green Briar
Club or is not a member in
good standing in another
Williamsburg club, they
will not be approved as a
guest in our Clubhouse.
We hope you and your guests
enjoy our Clubhouse. GB
