The use of any of the words "anticipate," "believe," "continue," "could," "estimate," "expect," "intend," "may," "will," "plans," "project," "should," "target" and similar expressions are intended to identify forward-looking statements. These statements may include, but are not limited to, statements with respect to potential markets and contracts, the completion of a proposed transaction, sales and EBITDA projections or potential applications. These statements address future events and conditions and, as such, involve known and unknown risks, uncertainties and other factors which may cause the actual results, performance or achievements to be materially different from any future results, performance or achievements expressed or implied by the statements. Such factors and assumptions include, among others, the effects of general economic conditions, the ability to project future sales and margins from current fundamentals and assumptions about market share, changing foreign exchange rates and actions by government authorities or cross-border authorities with jurisdiction over waterways, and negotiations and misjudgments in the course of preparing forward-looking information. Kraken believes the expectations reflected in those statements are reasonable but no assurance can be given that these expectations will prove to be correct and such forward-looking statements included in, or incorporated by reference into, this presentation should not be unduly relied upon. These statements speak only as of the date of this presentation. In addition, there are known and unknown risk factors which could cause the Company's actual results, performance or achievements to differ materially from any future results, performance or achievements expressed or implied by the forward-looking statements. Known risk factors include risks associated with the ability to close contracts, working capital risk to be able to build inventory, loss of key personnel, lack of patents protecting intellectual property, changes in competing technology, continuing shrinkage of military budgets or other target customer budgets, risks associated with publicly traded company obligations, inability to raise required capital, and other potential risks that arise in the normal course of business. Forward-looking statements are made based on management's beliefs, estimates and opinions on the date that statements are made and the Company undertakes no obligation to update forward-looking statements if these beliefs, estimates and opinions or other circumstances should change, except as required by law. 2 Corporate Overview Leading developers of Synthetic Aperture Sonar (SAS) technology World’s most technologically advanced and competitively priced COTS SAS product platform Strong validation from military, government and commercial customers HQ in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada. 20 employees. The principle of SAS is to move a sonar along a trajectory and illuminate the same spot on the seafloor with multiple acoustic pings. A “synthetic aperture” is created up to 25x the length of the physical array. 7 Why Synthetic Aperture Sonar? Ultra High Image Resolution Range: 50m Range: 50m Range: 100m Range: 100m Up to 600m swath 10x better compared to SSS Real-time, Co-registered Bathymetry SAS Constant along/across track resolution of 3cm x 3cm 25x better compared to SSS Increased Survey Speeds SSS Compliant to IHO SP-44 survey standard Rapid generation of high resolution 3D DTMs Additional Benefits Ability to survey at greater stand-off distances Rapid environmental characterization / assessment Multi-aspect SAS can create optical-like quality imagery Shadow enhancement improves target classification Enhances AUV micronavigation capabilities 8 Real Aperture Sidescan Sonar Image Synthetic Aperture Sonar (SAS) Image Sidescan vs SAS – Towrope Side Scan Sonar Image SAS Image 11 Image Resolution Comparison Kraken’s AquaPix® INSAS Pixel Resolution: 3cm @ 80m+ Conventional Side Scan Sonar Pixel Resolution: 20cm @ 80m AquaPix enables the detection and classification of very small objects – exceeding the imaging performance demanded by military missions. 12 Simultaneous Co-Registered Imagery and Bathymetry 13 What does this mean? SAS provides a 10x increase in area coverage rate over SSS = more area surveyed at a higher resolution in less time 14 What does the data look like? • Co-located imagery and bathymetry • Seabed objects revealed in high resolution bathymetry 15 Lobster Pot - 6cm x 6cm 3D Bathy 16 Application: INSAS Survey Operations in VSW • Single-side range: 93m, at 5m altitude. 17 Why Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Sonar? Ultra High Image Resolution Constant along/across track resolution of 3cm x 3cm Enhanced ATR, lower false alarms 20x better compared to SSS Ultra High Bathymetry Resolution Bin sizes of 6cm x 6cm are co-registered in real-time with imagery Enables next-generation 3D DTM visualization Increased Area Coverage Rate 10x better compared to conventional sonar 300m range (600m swath) at 3cm resolution AquaPix® INSAS Pixel Resolution: 3cm @ 80m Real Time, Embedded, Hi-Res SAS Processing Real time processing onboard the AUV – also supports real time ATR Significantly reduces PMA overhead – no need for post processing In-stride, single pass Detect & Classify Additional Benefits Ability to fly over seabed at greater stand-off distances Multi-aspect SAS can create optical-like quality imagery Enhanced shadow contrast improves ATR Precision AUV micro-navigation capabilities Conventional SSS Pixel Resolution: 20cm @ 80m 18 Comparison of 3D Bathy Resolution – 100m Range AquaPix INSAS (6cm x 6cm) Multibeam Echo Sounder (50cm x 50cm) AquaPix INSAS (25cm x 25cm) Bathy Side Scan (1m x 1m) 20 Latest Development: AquaPix® MINSAS 60 / MINSAS 120 𝑀𝑀𝐼𝐼𝐼𝐼𝐼𝐼𝐼𝐼𝐼𝐼𝐼𝐼 𝜃𝜃 = 10° 𝑀𝑀𝐼𝐼𝐼𝐼𝐼𝐼𝐼𝐼𝐼𝐼𝐼𝐼𝐼 Benefits of MINSAS H 2.2x H 10x H (max 240m) • Compact design • Suitable for smaller vehicles • Depth rated to 1000/3000/6000m • Low cost starting at US$150K 21 AquaPix® MINSAS 60 / MINSAS 120 Teledyne Gavia MINSAS 60 MINSAS 120 Operating Speed 3 kts 3 kts / 6 kts Range 120m 240m / 120m Swath 240m 480m / 240m 1 km2/h $150k 2 km2/h (at 6 kts) $250k Area Coverage Rate Price (USD) Hydroid REMUS 100 Bluefin 9 MINSAS 60 MINSAS 120 Dimensions (cm) Dimensions (cm) Transducer Array: 60.0L x 7.0H x 3.0D Transducer Array: 120.0L x 7.0H x 3.0D Electronics Pod: 81.0L x 10.0 Diameter Electronics Pod: 81.0L x 10.0 Diameter Alister 9 Effective Jan 2015.
