Reverse Litter
Baseball The Meridian Yellow Jacket
baseball team has
had a very good
season throughout this whole
year. After losing
to Whitney and
Reicher, they have
been on a winning streak.
They beat Hamilton and Blum
the last two games they have
played. The Jackets were
supposed to play Bosqueville
this past week, but due to bad
weather conditions they had to
delay the game until Wednesday April 16th. They lost to
Bosqueville which means they
will have to play Valley Mills
next week to see if they will
get the second or third spot
in the playoffs. If they beat
Valley Mills, they will get the
second place spot. If they lose,
they will get the third place
spot. The Jackets would love
for all their fans to come out
and support them as they make
their way into the playoffs.
TEN ON TUESDAY! Reverse Litter is
bringing awareness to the
consequences that littering
can have on waterways.
Join us in the movement
to clean up our communities and prevent litter from
clogging and polluting our
waters. Pledge to pick up
10 pieces of litter every
Tuesday. Think about it.
You absentmindedly drop
a straw wrapper at a ball
game or open your car door
and your stash of trash falls
to the curb. You throw a
cup into the bed of your
pick-up and drive off only
to see it fly out in your
rearview mirror. It happens,
we’ve all done it. And we
can all make the effort to
reduce these unintentional
acts of littering so that
those napkins, receipts and
the trash in the back of our
pick-ups doesn’t become
litter in our waterways.
Ten on Tuesday encourages businesses, schools,
community groups and
individuals to reverse litter
by picking up 10 pieces of
trash and recyclable materials each and ever Tuesday
from now on.
