In 2000 Fuse Lighting was born from the need for unique and distinctive lighting fixtures at the hand of designer Kevin Kolanowski for his
own interior design projects. He pioneered the use of shells, minerals and semi-precious gems on simple, clean lined, contemporary
metal forms offered in a wide array of hand applied finishes. These
fixtures were termed by many as “jewelry for the home”

Today, Fuse carries on a reputation for glamorous, modern, and distinctive illumination inspired by architecture, film, fashion, international travel, and nature. Fuse continues a heritage of unconventional medleys rendered as sensual lighting products that reveal

Simple and elegant
shapes have always
been my inspiration
Still known for incorporating the unexpected, Kevin enjoys a subtle play on exotic and
sometimes whimsical materials such as stingray, chainmail, snakeskin, and even fur.
These elements juxtaposed with cool blown glass,mirror and structural metals along with
supple, top-stitched leathers, carved wood, hand gilt and lacquer finishes are the
epitome of luxury. Details like leather straps or belting with buckles,exposed metal reinforced corners, stainless steel chainmail of the shark suit variety, and large scale ball
chain to name only a few show Kevin’s penchant and reverence for honest
materials,clarity of design, and flair for the atypical. Fuse continues a heritage of unconventional medleys rendered as playful, sensual, architectural lighting products that
reveal their structural and mechanical elements in high style.
