Heater sizing for storage heaters and panels can be easily calculated. Knowing the floor area, the wall construction and the number of outside walls, the heater loading in kilowatts is indicated in the appropriate table. These tables do not take into account particularly old properties or those built very recently. If your property fits into one of these classifications, please contact us so that we can provide a more accurate assessment. Note a ceiling height of 2.4m is assumed and a minimum of 75mm of roof insulation. Floor Area m2 12 16 20 24 28 32 LIVING OR DINING ROOM BEDROOMS Storage Heaters. Electric underfloor heating systems are one of only two systems recognised by the Government's Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) as having the necessary parameters to qualify for inclusion into the SAP calculation - the other being storage heater systems with radiant panels built in and which are controlled as a single unit. Long term there is little doubt that the future is electric. And of course, energy efficient electric appliances are, by definition, 'renewables ready'. This means that as more renewable and low carbon sources of supply become available, electricity will increasingly be favoured over gas. MYHEAT® Electric Underfloor Heating Systems - made in the UK exclusively for Denmans/Clearlight. FREE design and quote service available.* MYHEAT® Classic Heating Mats MYHEAT® Classic is ideal for refurbishment projects in existing dwellings or in new-build extension projects. Either as direct floor heating or as floor storage heating. (See Figure 1). There is no need to remove existing ceramic floor tiles - you can install the MYHEAT® Classic heating mats directly on top of the existing tiles and then tile over them as normal. There is normally no need to reduce door heights or raise skirting boards. MYHEAT® Classic is ideally suited to installation within the adhesive layer, the method preferred by professional floor tilers when laying ceramic tiles. MYHEAT® electric underfloor heating systems are clean, quiet in operation, 100% efficient at the point of use and require absolutely no maintenance at all. MYHEAT® underfloor heating is one of the most energy efficient means of heat delivery in existence. Figure 1 INSTALLATION INTO BATHROOMS AND WET AREAS MYHEAT® Classic heating mats have an earthed metallic sheath beneath their outer jacket. MYHEAT® complies fully with the requirements of Section 701.753 of the IEE wiring regulations BS 7671:2008 and may be embedded in the floor below any zone of the bathroom or shower room. Naturally, MYHEAT® Classic is the latest twin conductor design that complies with the very latest EMC and electrical safety standards. Although we design and make our products in our UK factory we have them tested by KEMA. MYHEAT® Classic has a single earth-sheathed 3 metre long ‘cold tail’ connections lead (only one connection cable to the thermostat). MYHEAT® - Technical Data • Voltage: 230V ~ 50Hz. • Protection against electric shock: Class 2. • Earth shield. • 1.0 mm2 csa connection lead < 1600 Watts. • 1.5 mm2 csa connection lead > 1600 Watts. • Dielectric strength: 4000V dc between conductors and earth. • Leakage current between conductors and earth: < 0.5 mA. • Insulation resistance: > 50 Meg. ohms at 500V dc Megger test. See page5 for product listing. For more details visit: www.myheat.co.uk 12 Underfloor Heating - MyHeat MYHEAT® Radiant Heating Film MYHEAT® Radiant Heating Film is the modern and easy way to install comfortable floor heating systems that last for decades, requires no maintenance and provides significantly lower running costs than alternative heating systems (such as ducted warm air, oil or gas fired systems with traditional hot water radiators). Probably providing greater comfort than any other heating system, MYHEAT® Film is the most efficient means of heat delivery in existence. It is a low temperature system which emits radiant heat energy (like that from the sun) to provide unrivalled comfort. Allergy sufferers will benefit from the near absence of air circulation, dust and dryness associated with traditional heating systems. Installed as part of a refurbishment or new-build project, MYHEAT® Film radiant floor heating can be mounted on top of concrete or timber subfloors or built into floors so that you can apply any finish that you wish. It is ideal for installation where the intended floor finish will be a floating hardwood, wood laminate or wooden parquet floor. It is also equally suitable for carpets, vinyl, Hessian, ceramic tiles and just about any floor finish that you wish. Easy Planning and Installation. • Choose the kit that suits the application. • Prepare the sub-floor. • Plan the cable runs and site the thermostat. • Secure Screed Fix™ fixing strip. • Lay the heating cable at the correct spacing. • Secure the heating cable to the Screed Fix™. • Run the cold tail cable through conduit to the thermostat. • Install the floor sensor and run the conduit to the thermostat. • Get an electrician (Part P qualified) to connect up to the mains. MYHEAT® Cable Kits The popular MYHEAT® Cable Kits contain everything that you may need in one carton: 1 - MYHEAT® Thermostat 2 - 15W/m heating cable 3 - conduit for floor sensor 4 - Vysa-Bond™ PVA primer 5 - paint roller for primer 6 - waterproof strong adhesive tape MYHEAT® Cable Kits are versatile because you can choose a cable spacing to provide the appropriate power rating and, they suit rooms with irregular floor areas where a heating mat might be awkward to lay. MYHEAT® Thermal Insulation MYHEAT® thermal insulation - must be laid before you install radiant underfloor heating system. 6mm thick insulation provides: • Protection against the heating elements being damaged. • Prevention of heat losses into the sub-floor. • Channels can be cut for wiring runs and floor sensor. • Sound insulation to ‘quieten’ laminate floors. MYHEAT® Mirror Demister With MYHEAT® Mirror Demister installed behind your mirror and connected to the bathroom lighting circuit you can view a clear mirror even though the bathroom is full of steam. MYHEAT® Mirror Demister will fit on most types of mirrors. On large mirrors several mirror demisters can be combined to cover a larger area. Self-adhesive backing to the heater pad sticks directly to the mirror. Connect to the existing room light circuit so that the heater pad operates automatically when the light is switched on. Solar Thermal Hot Water SOL KITS The new Dimplex Solar package is made simple by combining all the components into easy to purchase kits containing all the nessasary solar components needed for a standard installation. Each component has been carefully selected for its quality and suitability to the UK climate. With a range of cylinder sizes suitable for each property and a selection of roof mounting options the Dimplex solution has an answer for every solar water heating requirement. Every year the sun provides over 8000 times as much energy as we consume worldwide and with the ever-increasing evidence of climate change, it is essential that we reduce carbon dioxide emissions for the future of the planet. Not only will a solar thermal water heating package help the environment but it will also make use of the free energy from the sun, thereby providing a positive contribution to running costs. A solar system can provide as much as 60%* of the total hot water used per year absolutely free! * Subject to installation and property location. Due to the requirements of the Code for Sustainable Homes and current and forthcoming building regulation, it is becoming increasingly important to provide properties with low energy losses. The use of a solar thermal water heating system in the building design reduces energy consumption from other fuels, reducing the carbon dioxide emissions of the property. These all help with getting the building to comply with the regulations. Dimplex solar thermal hot water is ideal for all types of properties – from new build flats through to social housing refurbishment. • Complete solar hot water package – including 2, 4 and 6m2 collector kits, heat transfer system, full range of installation accessories and choice of solar hot water cylinders. • Purpose designed solar cylinders with high efficiency coils, fully optimised for solar water heating. Choice of options for electric heating or boiler based systems. • Choice of roof mounting options for slate, tile or flat roofs or integrated flush roof mounting. • Separate control and pump station allowing flexible and convenient installation in relation to the cylinder. • 25 year solar cylinder warranty. • 10 year solar collector warranty.
