A little bit of everything! Campers will experience a variety of activities, including active games, creative activities, daily special events and much more! P.A. Day Program (Ages 6 to 12) March 7, 2014 Cost: $31 Variety Camp will be offered at the Walker Family YMCA for non YMCA Child Care Families. Extended Care is available for this day. Our campers will experience daily special events, crafts, active games, outdoor activities, songs and much more! This camp is a splash! Designed to increase skills and develop an appreciation for the water, campers will participate in two swimming periods per day. Mad Science (Ages 7 to 12) In partnership with Mad Science, our favourite high-energy Mad Scientists are back to lead a portion of every day filled with hands-on experiments and activities. Campers will also participate in traditional camp activities. Youth Camp (Ages 7 to 12) Get ready for some fun and excitement at this camp! Each group will rotate through a wide variety of activities every day, including swimming, gym games, outdoor activities, crafts, songs and special events related to the theme of the day! Junior Sports (Ages 4 to 6) Campers will experience a wide variety of traditional and non-traditional sports at an introductory level. Our program emphasizes fair play, teamwork and sportsmanship while developing sports skills. Campers will experience outdoor sports, have access to an indoor gym, and experience daily special events. (Ages 7 to 13) Campers who want to try something new can try a favourite summer camp for a day during the Holidays and March Break. Each camp has been adapted to an introductory level to give campers the opportunity to explore the many different camp options we have to offer through these specialty workshops! J. Freeland YMCA Child Care Centre at 905 871 2539. Weekly Camp fees are only available during the March Break. Registration can be completed online at ymcadaycamp.ca or in your local YMCA of Niagara Health & Fitness Centre. Payment is required at the time of registration or you can put down a deposit of $5 per day and spread out the balance of fees through pre-authorized payments by providing a void cheque or credit card until 2 weeks prior to the start of the camp. Identification is required at sign out. Parent/guardians or other authorized individuals will be asked to present photo identification if they are unfamiliar to the staff signing campers out. YMCA Financial Assistance can assist families with YMCA Day Camp fees through the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign. If your financial circumstances are limiting your child’s access to Day Camp, please contact the YMCA Health & Fitness Centre for drop in appointment times. Niagara Region Financial Assistance Subsidy is available to families who qualify through the Niagara Region. Please contact your Subsidy Eligibility Caseworker at 905-984-3750 to confirm eligibility prior to registration. Camp registrations can be processed in person at your local Health & Fitness Centre once written approval has been received from the Region. Refund/Cancellation Policy allows requests for refunds to be made up to two weeks prior to camp. Refunds will be issued less the deposit. Camp fees are non-refundable within two weeks of camp. Refunds will not be given if the camper is absent due to illness or sent home for misconduct. YMCA of Niagara Day Camp 25 YMCA Drive, St. Catharines T: 905 934-9755 x 280 Busing is offered in St. Catharines from the Walker Family YMCA to Power Glen Elementary School for a fee of $3 per day. Busing is not available to any other camp sites. Drop off at the Walker Family YMCA to catch the bus is between 8:15 to 8:30am and the bus will return between 4:30 to 4:45pm. Extended Care is available at the YMCA membership branches. AM extended care is from 7:30 to 8:30am at a cost of $3 per day. PM extended care runs from 4:30 to 6:00pm at a cost of $4 per day. Extended care is only offered at the YMCA Health & Fitness Centres. There will be no PM Extended Care on December 24, camp will be closed at 5:00pm. Helping Hands is a program that strives to provide an integrated camp experience for children and youth who require additional support in camp. A limited number of spaces and days are available for children who require a helping hand in a smaller ratio to have a successful camp experience. Helping Hands is available in Niagara Falls, Port Colborne, St. Catharines, Welland and West Niagara for a fee of $45 per day. To find out if your son or daughter qualifies for this program please contact 905 934 9755 ext 280 prior to registration. Registration must be done in one of the YMCA Health & Fitness Centres and cannot be completed online. In Fort Erie, the YMCA partners with Community Living Fort Erie to offer additional support in camp. For more information please contact Community Living Fort Erie at 905-871-6770 prior to registration. Camper Age To ensure full participation in all aspects of the camp program, children are required to be the designated camp age prior to the start of the camp. Camp Hours: Monday to Friday: 8:30am to 4:30pm Drop off directly to the camp site begins at 8:00am. Campers must be picked up by 5:00pm from the camp site. Port Colborne camp will close at 3:30pm on December 31; fee is $25.
