Foot Spas How to Clean LHWMP_0139 12/21/12 The Whirlpool Foot Spa I. After Service of Each Client Drain all water & remove debris from foot spa Clean foot spa with soap & water & rinse Disinfect foot spa with EPA registered hospital-grade disinfectant & rinse – – – Must be a bactericide, fungicide & virucide (for example bleach) Use according to manufacturer’s recommendation Don’t use more than recommended or less than recommended Wipe foot spa dry with clean towel Drain Water; Remove Debris; Wash with Soap & Water & Rinse Disinfect with Hospital-grade Disinfectant Bactericide Virucide Fungicide Spray Hospital-grade Disinfectant Bactericide Fungicide Virucide A scrubby is hard to disinfect. Use a brush that can be scrubbed & disinfected. Rinse Wipe dry with clean towel Store clean towels in a closed cupboard Don’t Pour in Measure disinfectant to get the correct amount. II. End of Day Remove screens & debris behind screens Clean screens & inlet behind screens Soak screens in EPA registered disinfectant Disinfect foot spas with EPA registered hospital-grade disinfectant – Use according to manufacturer’s recommendation Flush with low-sudsing soap & warm water for 10 minutes Rinse & drain Remove Screens & Debris Behind Screen Wash Screens with Soap & Water Wash Inlet with Soap & Water Inlet Washed with Soap & Water Rinse Soak Screens in EPA Registered Hospital-grade Disinfectant Bactericide, fungicide & virucide Follow manufacturer’s instructions Measure Correct Amount Flush Foot Spa with Low-sudsing Soap & Warm Water Flush for 10 minutes Rinse & Drain Foot Spa & Rinse Inlet III.
