We’re building it better at our corporate headquarters with the
addition of Dr. Rocio Media to our Herbalife staff full-time. As our

around the world.

Gets a Fresh New Look to

On 17 September 2013, the Herbalife Kuala Lumpur Distribution
Centre located at the Ground Floor of Herbalife Malaysia Corporate
Office was turned into a hive of activity with much pomp and festivity
as the company launched its dynamic new look to promote efficient
distribution service and to forge ahead towards building the business
better for all Herbalife distributors. The cosy and comfortable
ambience is excellent for distributors to conduct their business,
purchases and/or make enquiries. The event kicked-off with an
opening speech by Mr. K.R. Sridhar, Senior Director/Sub-Regional
General Manager, Malaysia & Singapore followed with talks by 20K
Senior Executive President’s Team Member Rahimah Sulaiman and
Executive President’s Team Member Daniel Tan.
The opening was officiated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony joined by
several President’s Team Members and a lion dance performance to
augur in prosperity and abundance of business for all distributors!
And to celebrate this event, a special promotion was held for
walk-in distributors of the day. Distributors were given a fantastic
One-time Fortune Spin to grab fabulous free gifts with every

sports ambassadors - Low Wee Wern (Squash), Mohd Azizulhasni

signing ceremony was held on 17 July 2013 at Hotel Istana, Kuala
Lumpur and attended by approximately 200 distributors. Herbalife

• 2 scoops of Formula 1 Nutritious Mixed

Whey Protein Powder
• 1 ripe mango
• 250 ml soy milk
• Ice cubes-optional
Method
Place all ingredients in the blender and
mix thoroughly until the ice
cubes are completely
crushed.

DELICIOUS TEA MIX LEMON
& HIBISCUS JELLY
• 2 teaspoons Herbalife Tea Mix Lemon & Hibiscus
flavour
• 10g agar-agar powder
• 240 ml water
• 3–4 heap tablespoons soft brown or white sugar
• 2 Herbalife silicone tray
Method
1. Mix water, agar-agar powder and sugar together
in a pot until mixture is smooth. Then, cook
it over medium heat stirring all the time until
mixture thickens. Remove from heat.
2. Add in Herbalife Tea Mix with Hibiscus and
mix well.
3. Pour mixture into the Herbalife silicon jelly mould
and leave to cool.
4. Chill in the refrigerator until jelly is set and serve
cold or at room temperature.

How to build an achievable
FITNESS
FITNESS PLAN
DO YOU HAVE A FITNESS PLAN?
I think you need one and these are my tips
on how to kickstart your year with a renewed
commitment to stay in shape OR get in shape.
I know that starting a new fitness plan can be daunting, especially
if you haven’t worked out in a while or you’ve started and stopped
before, but – with a new approach and a determined attitude –
success may be closer than you think!
The most important first step to becoming fit is making a workable
fitness plan, otherwise it’s too easy to lose focus. Try asking yourself
these five questions below and make sure you answer them
completely honestly:

Your answers might be poor eating, having too many snacks
or sitting down for too many hours…
Where do you rate yourself on a scale of 1-10?
One being completely out of shape – breathing heavily while
doing daily tasks – and 10 being perfect fitness.
How much time do you currently dedicate to
exercise or activity each week?
And is it enough? Would you like to be more fit and do you
want to have more energy?
What three fitness activities do you most enjoy?
Be honest – do you like walking, exercise classes or simply
playing outdoors with your kids? Don’t hold back from
putting something more adventurous down as a bonus
answer – you can work up to high-powered activities as you
build your fitness.
What roadblocks have caused you to lose focus
in the past?
Maybe you’ve stopped exercising because you’ve become
busy at work, or your routine was interrupted and you didn’t
get back into fitness. Put down anything that derailed your
plans.
Now let’s use your answers to make a fitness plan
You can decide to fix just one thing at a time so that you don’t
overwhelm yourself. Let’s go through your answers and build a
fitness plan you can stick to all year. You don’t need to aim too high
– right now, we just want to improve on where you are now.
OVERCOMING BAD HABITS
If you eat unhealthily then you should focus on making your next
meal more healthy because you can’t change what you’ve eaten
in the past but you can make sure your next meal meets all your
nutritional needs. Approach fitness in the same way: focus on your
current or next workout and do the best you can. Decide right now
when you are going to do an activity… or even go and grab your
running shoes and prepare for an activity session as soon as you
finish reading this!
YOUR FITNESS RATING
It’s good to know where you are – but you also need to think about
where you want to be. I’d like you to aim for two points higher than
your current number. So, if you rate a five then your fitness plan
should slowly take you up to a seven. And, if you’re already at level
10 then I know you’re ready for any challenge but maybe you could
diversify? Think about whether there are any areas you could further
develop or learn to love more?
YOUR EXERCISE ROUTINE
If you want to give more time in your
life to exercise then try to increase
your exercise habits by 10 minutes
per week until you reach at least 30
minutes of activity a day. Exercise
doesn’t have to be daunting: if you
currently sit down in an office for long
periods then promise yourself that
you’ll go and visit a colleague instead
of emailing at least twice each day.
Or, plan a walk straight after work –
even if you only go around the block
then at least you’re out and about.
As you build your fitness plan, you’ll
soon see that adding 10 minutes
of activity here and there can make
your day more fun and that has to
be better than thinking of exercise
as a chore.
CHOOSING AN ACTIVITY
You can start out by only doing the activities on your list – the ones
you listed in answer to question four. The start of your fitness plan
is not a good time to try new types of exercise, so focus on your
favorites – they’ll help you feel confident and comfortable for the
first few weeks. Activities like walking, jogging and body-weight
exercises are a great way to start out. I love the phrase:
“don’t run before you can walk”
because a slow and steady approach builds results that will last.
AVOIDING ROADBLOCKS
If you find yourself always stumbling because of one particular
obstacle then avoid it! It sounds simple I know, but if you always plan
early morning workouts but you can’t get out of bed then consider
lunchtime or evening sessions. You know yourself and your fitness
plan needs to be tailored to who you are so, don’t pledge to do
something that you won’t enjoy because then you’re less likely to
succeed.
FINALISING YOUR FITNESS PLAN
Now you should have everything you need to create a fitness plan
that meets your needs. You know what you want to achieve, how
you what to achieve it and why. You even know what might knock
you off course. With your fitness plan, be kind to yourself and choose
an easier route that you know you will be happy navigating over the
long term.
Once you have gathered all your thoughts, why not write them out
clearly? For me, transferring my thoughts to paper helps to make
them concrete – and if I have my goals written down, I know I
can’t ignore them. Place your fitness plan somewhere prominent
to remind you of your starting point and your aims. I recommend
sticking it on the fridge because keeping it visible will help to keep
you motivated. I also always keep an exercise journal because it’s a
great way to track my progress and, when it works, you want to be
able to remember how you did it.

RULES TO HELP YOU FEEL GOOD
Let’s talk about how to build all-over bodyconfidence! I’m excited to be sharing my
personal experience with self-esteem and
body image, how they go hand in hand, and
what we need to do to stay confident.
Most people battle with low self-esteem and body confidence at
some point in life. Perhaps we wish our skin was clearer, or that our
stomach was flatter, or our nose was smaller, or maybe we wish we
were taller/shorter. These feelings apply to both men and women.
There are mornings when I stand in front of a mirror looking at
myself. I check out my arms, my stomach and even my butt, and if
I’m already feeling low, I can start to feel worse. I decide I want to
look like I did when I was 22 years old. I start to get down on myself
and I can literally feel my confidence slipping away.
After a full body bashing, I continue to torture myself by scrutinizing
my face in one of those magnifying mirrors. Then I think
“Oh great, there’s a new little wrinkle developing.
Oh wonderful, a stray hair randomly growing some
place it shouldn’t be.”
Sigh! If it weren’t for the fear of seven years of bad luck, that mirror
would be history.
In my mind, I am still in my early 20’s. But my mind and my body
are definitely NOT on the same page! Often, our body image is
directly tied to our self-esteem. And there is no reason why we
shouldn’t have all-over body confidence no matter what we look
like. It’s important to embrace who we are today and let go of the
past. Let go of the standardized perceptions of beauty, and find
confidence from within. And, the best part is, if there is something
we are unhappy about – we have the power to change it.
Let’s face it, the things that bother us the most are the things that no
one else would ever notice about us.
However, when we do work on ourselves and we see change, our
confidence starts to build. Little things can make a huge impact.
For me, it was cleaning out my closet. I used to hold onto clothes
forever. And every time I would walk in my closet I would see a
certain pair of ipped-jeans circa 1985 and my mind would say…
“Remember when you were a skinny young thing and
rocked those jeans?”
I know it’s simple but, for me, not holding onto the past was
important. No one needs a daily reminder of something that might
make them feel bad for no reason. Everyone has different concerns,
but we all have the power to improve how we view ourselves.
Here are few simple rules we can follow to create all over body
confidence and improve or self-esteem:

Body confidence rule 1:
Be realistic!
It’s okay NOT to look like you did when you were 22. Think back
to the good old days, were you wearing fashions that belong in
the past? Platform shoes, bell-bottoms or skinny ties? Perhaps it
was big shoulder pads, acid-wash jeans or a crop top? Maybe you
wore plaid shirts and clothes that were unflatteringly yet fashionably
baggy?
Enough reminders of past fashion! Whatever the case, let’s admit
it once and for all; we really do look better now than we did then!
And if you aren’t sure, show an old picture of yourself to someone a
decade younger than you. I showed my kids a picture of me rocking
a once-trendy outfit and – love ‘em – they burst out laughing. Let’s
romanticize the future, not the past!
Body confidence rule 2:
Focus on the positive!
You know that feeling you get when someone randomly tells you
that they love your shoes, or think your hair looks great? Or when
someone asks, “Have you been working out?” Think about how
you feel in those moments. We all have many positive attributes
but sometimes just one, self-perceived, negative overrules the many
positives.
Let’s change our focus: look in the mirror and what do you see?
Focus on the good things. Do you have nice shiny hair, sparkly eyes,
beautiful white teeth, toned abs or glowing skin? Compliment yourself
on what you love about you each and every day. And own it!
Body confidence rule 3:
Change is good.
If you want to change something about yourself, do it sooner than
later. If it’s your hair, try a new cut. If you’re losing your hair and it’s
making you insecure, get rid of it. I know it’s difficult, but Taye Diggs,
Jason Statham, Vin Diesel and Pitbull are all bald and they exude
self- confidence. And hey, even yours truly was bald for a few years.
Gentlemen, trust me, bald can be very sexy.

The sooner you get started on making a change, the sooner you will
start feeling better about yourself!
Remember, beauty is found in the eye of the beholder not on the
pages of a fashion magazine. Throw your shoulders back, stand up
tall, lift your chin up and smile. Love yourself, love your family and
love your friends. Compliment yourself and others every day and be
confident in who you are. Self-confidence exudes positivity. Today is
the day to make a change for the better.
A positive self-image equals self-confidence!

Lady Beautiful Fair was held in Putra World Trade Centre
(PWTC), Kuala Lumpur from 6 to 8 September 2013.
Herbalife participated in the 3-day event to provide a platform
for distributors to meet their potential customers. The crowd
which gathered at the Herbalife booth were given wellness
evaluation, free body scan and analysis as well as tea
samplings as refreshments.

Shape Night Run ‘13
More than 7,000 runners participated in
Men’s Health & Shape Night Run ‘13. The
run of 12 km competitive run and 5km fun
run was held at 8 p.m. on Saturday, 7
September 2013 at Dataran Putrajaya
Presint 3, Putrajaya, Malaysia. The dark
clouds and light showers did not damper
the spirits of the runners who excitedly
completed their runs. Herbalife took part
in the event to provide a platform for
distributors to expand their customers’
network. Besides providing wellness
evaluation, free body scan and analysis,
tea samplings given also drew in the
crowd. The turnout and response were
very encouraging.

Getaway
Vacation
that was
TRULY FUN, EXCITING
and MAGICAL!
October started off on an unforgetable and
exciting momentum with the celebration of many
fully qualified Supervisors who had succeeded
in their qualification for the 2013 local getaway.
Each region had their own getaway with the
Central region celebrating their event in Avillion
Port Dickson (4-5 October), for Northern region,
the destination was Four Points by Sheraton
Penang (2-3 October), for Southern region, it
was Avillion Port Dickson (5-6 October), and
finally for the East Coast region, it was the
Redang Island Resort (4-5 October).
The 2-day-1 night event was filled with great
fun and excitement in the sun with distributors
surfing the waves and participating in exciting
team-building activities. Besides, being spoilt
for choice of a good spread of delicious meals
and wonderful accommodation, the getaway
was also an incredible way for all distributors to
reconnect with one another, drawing inspiration
from every success story shared, and also an
excellent opportunity to reignite their flames of
passion and strong belief in the business.
The rapport among distributors after the
team-building activities was electrifying and
continued to flourish even after the vacation.
The distributors enjoyed the local getaway
tremendously as seen on the happy and
satisfied faces of everyone. They all vowed to
work harder, spreading Herbalife nutrition wider
and deeper throughout the country and moving
their business to greater heights.

Leaders continue to learn to develop their leadership skills for success. Before we become leaders, we grow
ourselves to be successful. And when we become leaders, success is all about growing others. To be successful
leaders, we need to focus on building our business and organisations better.
Leadership skills and knowledge can be learned through business methods such as Daily Methods of Operation,
events as well as through personal experiences. DMOs are the cornerstone of our business. The more practice
we put into perfecting the DMOs, knowledge and skills learned, the more accomplished we become as practice
makes perfect. Once we perfected what we have learned, we are then able to teach the DMOs to our distributors.
They, in turn will duplicate the process and teach their organisations to build better business.
So for the coming year 2014, let’s focus on ensuring that every distributor Learn, Practise and Perfect everything
they do and the different DMOs to build an organisation that will grow from strength to strength.
Learning is an investment that will pay huge dividends for you and your organisation. Never stop learning because
the day you stop Learning, is the day you stop Winning. When you stop Practising and making it Perfect, you stop
Succeeding. And when you stop Teaching, You stop Growing. So continue to Learn, Practise, Perfect and Teach
as you focus on changing your life and the lives of others for the better.
So Focus on Getting Better, Rather than Being Good.

• The US$500 Special Bonus is for first-time non-TAB Team AWT
qualifiers only. GET Team with an August or earlier qualification date
are eligible for recognition only.
• You may only qualify one time for the US$500 Special Bonus. (For
example, if you have received your Active World Team Bonus in
2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 or 2013, you will NOT be
eligible for another bonus in 2014).
• The US$500 Special Bonus will be paid out in local currency. Any
country-specific withholding taxes will apply. All US$500 Bonus
qualifiers must be in good standing with Herbalife.
• The qualification period can start any month from August 2013. All
qualifications must occur in the same six-month period.
• You can use Volume Points and/or Royalty Points from August 2013
through December 2013 toward the 2013 and 2014 Active World
Team qualification.
• To qualify for Active World Team 2014, Volume Points and/or Royalty
Points must be completed in at least one month in 2014.
• All three qualifications can overlap, as long as they are completed
within the four consecutive months to six consecutive months period.
The shortest time you may take to qualify is four months: e.g., 10,000
Total Volume Points in one month can also count as one of the 2,500
Total Volume points in four consecutive months.

BUSINESS RULES
Unauthorised Sales Channels
Herbalife products are sold by a network of Independent Distributors and may only be sold
to consumers through “direct selling”, in a transaction whereby there is a direct and personal
interaction between the Distributor and the customer.
They also act to divert future purchases by existing Herbalife
customers from the Distributor whose efforts made them customers
in the first place.
Consumers/Customers who just want to buy products without
a relationship with a Distributor are not going to receive the full
benefits of those products and they are unlikely to be repeat or
even satisfied purchasers. The personal relationship and product
integrity can be compromised where there is no relationship or prior
person-to-person contact is against our written rules and
regulations.
Online Shopping or Online Retailing
Online shopping or online retailing is a form of electronic commerce
whereby consumers directly buy goods or services from a seller
over the Internet without personal communication. As such, posting
products via Online shopping or online retailing is not allowed.
Online sales may only be transacted from an Herbalife
Independent Distributor’s website. (Refer to the “Advisory: Online Media–
Social Networking” on myherbalife.com for the complete set of Rules.)
Auction
Sites
Distributor is prohibited to retail, sample, or display Herbalife
products at unauthorised Sales Channel such as:
Retail Establishments/Location e.g. pharmacies, grocery,
health food stores, street/vendor carts, kiosks, booths in
malls, outlets; or any other location is inconsistent with the
“direct selling” model as described above. (Refer to Rule
22-A Display in Retail and other Establishments).
Distributor is prohibited to display or sell Herbalife products,
product related items in any retail establishments. No
Distributor may sell Herbalife products to persons who
are not Herbalife Distributors and whose intention it is to
resell those products (Refer to Rule 21-F Product Sales to
Non-Distributors for Resale).
Swap Meets, Flea Markets, Open-air Markets, Street/
Vendor Carts
Distributor is prohibited from promoting, selling, sample, or displaying
Herbalife products at swap meets, flea markets, open-air markets,
street/vendor carts or similar locations/events. As these locations
are inconsistent with “direct selling” or are not conducive to the
brand image of Herbalife.
