Quote of the Week from Pope Francis

Mercy: the word reveals the very mystery of the
Most Holy Trinity.
Mercy: the ultimate and supreme act by God
come to meet us.
Mercy: the fundamental law that dwells in the
heart of every person who looks sincerely into
the eyes of his brothers and sisters on the path
of Life.
Mercy: the bridge that connects God and man,
opening our hearts to the hope of being loved
forever despite our sinfulness.
Mercy - One Word at a Time
At different
moments, we all
struggle with
hesitations,
questions, and
insecurities. In
faith and mercy,
we reach out to
be a source of
encouragement
and support for those who struggle. Welcome those
who are weak in faith, but not for the purpose of
quarreling over opinions. We who are strong ought
to put up with the failings of the weak.

PARISH NOTES
CELEBRATING EASTER SACRAMENTS
Throughout the fifty days of the Easter Season,
we celebrate the Sacraments of Initiation. Through
Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist, we forge our
identity as disciples of Jesus, the Risen Lord, in
water and the Holy Spirit, and we share his mission
of spreading the Good News.
We extend heartfelt congratulations to the
following who were confirmed last Sunday, May 15
by Bishop Malesic.
Eva Davenport
Anthony Hrin
Jamie Kaminski
Tyler O’Donnell
Joseph Miller
This weekend, we welcome Max Ford to the
Lord’s table for the first time for Holy Communion.
Pray for him, and be sure to greet him with a few
words of congratulations after the Mass.
CONGRATULATIONS
Sr. Susan Jenny was
recently re-elected to serve
as the Provincial Council of
the Sisters of Charity of
Seton Hill. Sr. Susan and
the members of the council
will be installed today at a
Mass celebrated by Bishop
Malesic.
May God bless the sisters in their important
ministries in our diocese!
BRUNCH FOR NEW PARISHIONERS
Following the 10:30 AM
Mass today, members of the
Parish Pastoral Council are
hosting a brunch for new
parishioners who registered
within the last 12 months. We welcome our new
brothers and sisters in Christ, and pray that we
might encourage them by our example to become
active members of the Body of Christ in our parish.
ST. ANTHONY NOVENA
This annual devotion continues
each Tuesday evening at 7:00 PM
through the Feast of St. Anthony of
Padua in June.

LEGACY SOCIETY
There are many simple and
quiet ways to do great things.
One possibility is to consider
remembering the MSP Parish
Endowment Fund in your will or
estate planning. This benevolent
act will benefit future generations in our parish
community and serve the greater good while
automatically making you a member of the MSP
Legacy Society. For those who are already
members, thank-you.
ANNUAL HOLY NAME SOCIETY GOLF OUTING
It’s not too late to join us !!!
Be there Friday, May 27 for the 21th
annual golf outing held at Oak Lake
Golf Course. Tee time is 9:00 AM.
Cost is $75 per person and includes
golf, cart, food, beverages, plenty of
prizes and a fun day for all.

DONUT SOCIAL NEXT WEEKEND
Coffee and donuts will be served
in Marble Hall after all Masses next

FESTA VOLUNTEERS
This year we will celebrate
the 35th anniversary of Festa
Italiana. We have been
successful in part because of our
wonderful, dedicated volunteers.
Again this year our volunteers
are so important to this event. In order to volunteer,
it is necessary to have state mandated clearances.
Presently our volunteers who have worked at
various events have received their clearances. The
process has been streamlined. Anyone who would
like to become involved for the first time must call
the Parish Office. Festa Preparation begins the
week of July 11 so please anyone new to our Parish
or new to volunteering please begin the process.
Thank You.
