University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar Weimar Master Classes > University of Music ... > 57th Weimar Master C... > Master classes > Konstantin Scherbako... Konstantin Scherbakov - Piano 17 - 22 July 2016 He comes from one of the most famous schools for pianists: the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatoire. Debut at eleven, countless competition successes, world tours, forgotten at twenty? Not Scherbakov. He is a quiet world star. His interpretations are based on a breathtakingly (c) Jen Pin sound technique. He does not push himself forward, never showboating. Scherbakov plays perfectly, a servant of music. He loves the all-embracing phrase, conjuring up entire Beethoven symphonies in piano transcriptions of Franz Liszt, always meticulous and sensitive. At the Weimar Master Classes he has been considered a much cherished regular guest for quite some time now.
