FATHER OF MY CHILDREN by Mia Hansen-Løve
Cast Louis Do de Lencquesaing, Chiara Caselli, Alice de Lencquesaing
Grégoire Canvel has everything a man could want. A wife he loves, three delightful children
and a stimulating job. He’s a film producer. Discovering talented filmmakers and developing
films that fit his conception of the cinema is precisely his reason for living. Grégoire devotes
almost all his time and energy to his work. Except on weekends, which he spends in the
country with his family-gentle interludes, as precious as they are fragile. Yet his prestigious
production company, Moon Films, is on its last legs. Too many productions, too many risks,
too many debts. But Grégoire plows on at all costs. One day, he is obliged to face the facts. In
one word: failure. He is overwhelmed by fatigue. Which soon, secretly, turns into despair.

Marching Band by Claude Miller
2008: election of the 44th President of the United States. Within this context University
College and campus bands called “marching bands” were more than ever involved within
political rallies. Especially popular in the United States, they reflect values of all sectors of
American society, white as well as African-American cultural expression. They offer their
devoted public exhilarating parades, high in musical and visual color. This film, boosted by
the extraordinary energy of these marching bands, sketched a portrait of today’s American
youth and assessed the position of these students in the run up to a political decision that
could change their life and the face of the world.

Competition
Cast Krystyna Janda, Paweł Szajda, Jadwiga Jankowska-Cieslak
A middle-aged woman, Marta, wife of a small town doctor, doesn’t know about her
terminal illness. One day Marta meets a much younger man, Bogus, and is fascinated
by his youth and simplicity. Their innocent “dates” at the shores of the river, marked by
mutual fascination, are put to an end by a sudden and cruel twist of fate: it is Bogus who
dies first. Sweet Rush is also a film on making a film and Andrzej Wajda is intertwining the
story with real-life monologues of Krystyna Janda dealing with the premature death of her
husband, the acclaimed cinematographer Edward Kłosinski.
