AIRHAWK® II SCBA WITH AIRFRAME™
CARRIER & HARNESS ASSEMBLY
The AirHawk II® is a lightweight, durable, and economical Self-Contained
Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) for many industrial IDHL (immediately
dangerous to life or health) applications. As a pressure-demand apparatus,
it’s designed to maintain a slight positive air pressure inside the facepiece
during inhalation and exhalation. This helps prevent contaminants from
seeping in and around the facepiece—even should small breaks should
occur in the face-to-facepiece seal. MSA’s AirFrame™ Carrier and Harness
features large side handles and a central attachment point to pull workers
to safety in rescue situations. The harness actually distributes the SCBA’s
weight over the user’s hips for added comfort and stability. Its composite
backplate is made of glass fiber-reinforced thermoset plastic and is
ergonomically designed with spine strain relief. This SCBA assembly also
includes a medium Ultra-Elite facepiece with a hycar rubber face seal,
rubber head harness, and a low-pressure (2216 psig), 30-minute aluminum
cylinder. NIOSH approved and non-NFPA-compliant.

This MSA Storage Cabinet is a single-unit, wall-mounted, chemical-resistant ABS
plastic case that resists weathering, moisture, and corrosion, ensuring the SCBA
stays in ready-to-use condition. Cabinet fits SCBAs with 30-minute low pressure,
45- and 60-minute high pressure, and low-profile cylinders.
