This special day will be the conclusion of our all-church study of Mark Batterson’s Wild Goose Chase and an opportunity for us to dedicate our financial pledges for 2015. Note – there will be no 8:15 service that day. You will soon receive an estimate of giving card for 2015. Please prayerfully consider what you will give to support the various ministries of our church. These estimates help us plan what we can do concretely to reach out in the name of Jesus Christ. Mark Batterson writes: “To follow the Holy Spirit, the Wild Goose, is to give as God gives. The truth is, when you give beyond your ability, God will bless you beyond your ability. No, God is not a slot machine; but if your motives are right, the law of measure kicks in: ‘With the measure you use, it will be measured to you’” (Luke 6:38). What Mark says is so true. When we step out in faith, we learn quickly that we can’t out-give God. It’s impossible! Our Consecration Day worship will be a service of celebration with inspiring music and witness. Following the service will be a free luncheon featuring fried chicken with all the fixin’s. This is a time for us all to gather together and celebration the love of God and the fellowship we have as the Village UMC. Until later….grace and peace to you! Rik Page 2 Time for Village Harvest!
