Parking:
Two tractor trailers can fit (very tightly) at the loading dock and remain there throughout the production.
While at the dock, trucks are parallel with the side of the theatre. Access to the stage from the loading
dock is through a receiving area and a short hallway located up-stage right at dock level. This area is
available for bus parking as well. Shore power is available for one bus.
Note: There is a fire company connection on the side of the building–it must not be blocked!

From Northern Points:
Take Route 219 South to the GEISTOWN / ELTON / PA-756 exit (center lane - signed “Theater Drive”.)
Turn LEFT onto 756 at the traffic light at the bottom of the exit ramp, and proceed to the right lane.
At the second traffic light (Denny’s) turn RIGHT onto Theatre Drive. (left hand lane of the two travel lanes.)
Travel 7/10 of a mile and turn LEFT at the 3rd light onto Schoolhouse Road. (left hand lane.)
Travel approximately 5/10 of a mile and at the 2nd University of Pittsburgh sign, turn RIGHT onto

From Eastern and Southern Points:
From I-76/PA Turnpike take EXIT #146, Bedford.
At the traffic light after the toll booth, turn LEFT (choose the left lane.)
Turn left at the next light and Follow I-99 NORTH (3 miles) to Route 56 WEST (27 miles) to Route
219 NORTH. From 219 take the ELTON / SR 756 exit.

Two (2) dedicated analog phone lines are available:

A fax machine and a copier are available for use in the administrative office located on the
second floor.

A secure, carpeted hallway located directly behind the stage.
There is access from the house onto the stage by way of steps located offstage left and right in
alcoves downstage of the proscenium. Dressing rooms, green room, and orchestra pit are
located under the stage with stairs located both stage left and right. An elevator is also
available.
Items can be stored in the receiving area or the Studio Theatre, which is located directly upstage.
There are four (4) orchestra shell roof units located on line sets 5, 14, 19 and 25 that cannot
be removed.
Side by Side sound and lighting control booths are located at the rear of the orchestra seating

There are four (4) orchestra shell roof units located on line sets 5, 14, 19, and 25 that cannot be
removed. Upon consultation with the PPAC Technical Director, certain items (i.e. soft goods)
may share the same line set with these units. Orchestra shell canopies on line sets 5 and 14
measure 8' 7" (2.6m) from the bottom of the shell to the batten, and similarly, orchestra shell
canopies on line sets 19 and 25 measure 7' 8" (2.3m).

The majority of the orchestra pit is recessed under the stage: European Style. There is no lift,
although there are stage level covers. Obstructions are two support pillars. Portable carpeted
risers are used to raise the height of the conductor and the down-stage musicians.

Monitor/Paging
Systems:
Paging is accomplished through channel ‘B’ of the intercom system along with the input of the
run of show microphone located in the house. The signal is sent to Clear-Com speaker stations
located in each of the 2 chorus dressing rooms, the 2 star dressing rooms, and the green room.
An external program input instead of the microphone is possible.
