Ranch-style condominiums provide feel of single
Ranch-style condominiums provide feel of single-family home After looking at homes in Waukesha County for a number of years, Mary Good didn’t wait when she learned that ranch-style condominiums from Cornerstone Development of Southeast Wisconsin were planned for Brookfield. “I came out right away to look at the site for The Glen of Brookfield,” she said. “The land was so beautiful with the prairie grass, the prairie flowers and the nature conservancy, and it’s also a convenient location.” Good said she was familiar with Cornerstone’s participation in the development of the Pilgrim Glen condominiums in Menomonee Falls, “So I knew the construction would be wonderful, and I haven’t been disappointed.” She moved into her new home in July of 2010. In addition to the natural setting, Good was drawn to the ranch-style floor plans and the opportunity to have a basement. “It’s so nice not to have someone above or below you,” she said. “It’s also difficult to find a condominium with a deep 10-foot basement, which I’m very glad I have.” A favorite room is her four-season sunroom. “It’s beautiful to look outside, at any time of year,” Good said. The Glen of Brookfield experienced brisk sales and now just six of the 46 condominiums remain available, noted Nadine Piotrowski, Marketing and Options Manager for Cornerstone Development. The two-bedroom, two-bath condominiums feature plenty of storage space as well, and some floor plans include a den or sunroom. “We’re semi-custom builders,” Piotrowski explained, “The homes are completed according to the buyers’ specifications for flooring, lighting, counters and other finishes.” Floor plans fit today’s lifestyles At The Glen at Seven Stones, construction of the clubhouse and the first homes has begun. With four available floor plans, the ranch-style condominiums range from 1,400 square feet to 1,861 square feet. Six of the homes will have walk-out basements, seven will have look-out basements; other homes can include standard basements or may be built without one. Prices range from about $269,000 to $350,000. At The Glen of Brookfield, the remaining homes feature look-out or walk-out basements. The two available floor plans are the 1,718-square-foot Abbey and the 1,861-square-foot Canterbury; both homes include a four-season sunroom. Prices start from the mid-$300,000s. The Abbey and Canterbury floor plans also are available at The Glen at Seven Stones, in addition to the 1,547-square-foot Colonnade and the 1,400-square-foot Bramante. “The Colonnade was a quick seller at The Glen of Brookfield,” Piotrowski said. “It offers a den with French doors, in addition to the living room.” To keep up with demand, Cornerstone recently started a new neighborhood, The Glen at Seven Stones, in the village of Sussex. Located near Highway 164 and Lisbon Road, this neighborhood will include 56 ranch-style condominiums, and like The Glen of Brookfield, will also offer a clubhouse, outdoor heated pool, amphitheater, walking trail and decorative ponds. At both locations, “Our condominiums have the feel of a single-family home,” Piotrowski said. “There are no shared hallways, and you have your own front door, your own garage. Also, our homes have cathedral ceilings and abundant windows, so the interiors are open and bright.” Information about The Glen of Brookfield and The Glen at Seven Stones is available at www.cornerstonedevelopment.com, or by calling 262-784-5200. Model tours are available at The Glen of Brookfield, which is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday; noon to 5 p.m. on weekends. 3977464-01
