Learn to skate classes, open skating and open hockey is offered on our two
sheets of ice as well as the availability to rent the ice on an hourly basis.
Artificial turf is available for rental in one arena from March-October.
Come experience the southeast metro’s premier golf facility. The

gym and is also available for large rentals.
There are a number of meeting rooms in the facility that are available for rent
on an hourly or daily basis.

The Parks and Recreation Department has fishing poles and some basic tackle
supplies available to check out.
Disc Golf Course:
North Valley Park has an 18-hole championship disc golf course that
offers an excellent variety of shots through rolling terrain. There are short
and long tees on most holes as well as multiple pin placements on a few.
Inver Wood also offers an extensive nine hole course among the finest in the
state that will be enjoyable for golfers of all ages and skill levels.

Inver Grove Heights has a number of paved and non-paved walking/
running and biking trails throughout its parks and around the city.
Off-Road Trails:
Inver Grove Heights has 7.7 miles of natural (non-paved trails) and 25.2 miles
of bituminous (blacktopped) trails.
Recreation Programs
Inver Grove Heights Parks and Recreation offers activities, sports leagues
and special events all year round for youth, adults and families. Our goal is to
help you and your family enjoy a healthy, active lifestyle. Our youth programs
and sports are taught in a fun and supportive environment and help children
develop social skills, self-esteem, teammwork and more. Our adult programs
and leagues are a great way for neighbors, friends and co-workers to get
together and socialize while getting a workout. The department is dependent on
volunteer coaches for a number of youth leagues; this is another great way to

Rich Valley Athletic Complex is a premier outdoor athletic facility consisting of
three baseball, six softball and four soccer fields. The complex can
accommodate youth and adult sports events and tournaments and is available

The Tier 1 skate park is located behind Veterans Memorial Community
Center and is open 9 a.m.-sunset daily. This smoke, drug and alcohol free area is
great for people of all ages that enjoy skateboarding or in-line skating.

The fitness center holds a variety of cardiovascular equipment, strength
training machines and free weights. An indoor walking/running track
overlooks the center. An aerobics/dance studio hosts a variety of group
fitness and dance classes.
Inver Wood’s practice center is uniquely designed with two fairways, along with
strategically placed greens and bunkers that add more dimension to the driving
range concept. The practice center was designed to offer an “on course” feel
that allows the golfer to work on his or her game in an actual golf hole
environment.

The water park boasts two large waterslides, a zero-depth leisure pool and a
variety of splash features. A concession stand and birthday party rooms are
also a part of the water park. Our 25-yard lap pool has lanes for lap swimming,
aqua exercise classes and swimming lessons.

Inver Wood’s 27 holes sit on 275 acres of rolling, wooded terrain. The
championship course offers 18 challenging holes with features that utilize the
area’s natural geography, such as multi-level fairways, multiple tee
stations, varied shaped U.S.G.A. greens, and picturesque par three holes that
challenge your golf game as well as your senses.
Soccer Fields
Veterans Memorial Community Center is a premier facility with amenities and
programs for people of all ages and abilities. The facility houses an indoor
water park, lap pool and dive well, childcare, fitness center, walking/running
track, fitness studio, two ice arenas, meeting rooms and a gymnasium.
