Biking for me is a metaphor for life
itself – it’s all about the journey -- a
theme that permeates my music.
There is a familiar saying among
bikers: “If I have to explain it, you
wouldn’t understand.” The feeling you
get when you are on two wheels is not
readily expressed in words. It is my sincere hope that my songs begin to touch
on the emotions that bikers experience
when they ride.
MAUREEN GRIFFIN
I came into the biker world rather
late in life (at the age of 52) when I
met a very handsome man named
Curtis Damone, who happened to ride
a motorcycle. To me, anyone who
rode a motorcycle was crazy. I never
dreamed of getting on the back of
one, no less riding one of my own all
around the country. To a large extent,
I still maintain my original viewpoint
of bikers; I’ve simply joined their ranks
and married the man who taught me
how to ride.
