Explore the worlds of art and
nature through Andrea Rich’s
technically complex and creatively
elegant woodcuts. An internationally recognized artist, Rich
draws on print traditions as diverse as Albrecht Dürer and
Japanese Ukiyo-e to yield a body of work distinctly her own.
During three decades of travel, Rich has observed common and
exotic species of birds and animals. Using her first-hand
experiences she depicts subjects in their natural habitats.
Her rich palette captures the simple beauty of landscapes and
the humor and drama of nature.
“An Abundance of Riches,” 40 woodcuts from the Woodson Art
Museum’s collection, is a global nature tour without travel delays.

Kent Ullberg
There are many worlds of art, but no matter in which Kent
Ullberg’s sculptures are judged, they succeed because of
the breadth, depth, and sophistication of his knowledge
and talent. In the world of New York’s Society of Animal
Artists, Ullberg’s work rises above the rest because he
applies his broad knowledge of art
history to create his
“Necking Giraffe”
sculptures. This is a
Bronze 1975
result of Ullberg’s

aspiration to be true to
art and nature.
This exhibition includes a diverse,
retrospective range of casting and
clay models by Kent Ullberg,
accompanied by photographs of
outdoor monuments and
educational
“Two Against the World”
materials.

David Vollbracht is a representational
landscape painter of the west. His work
reflects the quality of light, nature, and spirit
drawn from the land. For many years he has
made trips to various parts of the west to
gather reference material for his realistic
impressions created primarily in oil. David
emphasizes the beauty and importance of the
natural landscape in his compositions. He is
intrigued by the patterns and shapes in nature
and concentrates on the effects of light on
these elements. Mr. Vollbracht resides in
Medicine Lodge, Kansas and holds a degree in
art from Fort Hays State University. Currently, David’s art is hanging in the
following galleries: Elkhorn Art Gallery, Winter Park, CO; Paint Horse Gallery,
Breckenridge, CO; and the Dane G. Hansen Memorial Museum, Logan, KS.
