flexible enough to expand and contract with the temperature changes
but also strong enough to use regularly. It is not sensitive to humidity

have to throw out a perfectly good suite once the upholstery needs a
freshen up. We manufacture all the upholstery for all of our ranges and
can supply replacement cushions and covers many years after you have
purchased your suite. This will save you money in the long term as well
as reducing waste and the impact on the environment.
Please do not be tempted to use a lounge suite in your conservatory
as the frame may not be designed to withstand such temperature and
humidity variations and may start to retain moisture.
This is especially typical with fully upholstered furniture where the frame
in not exposed to air, it is not uncommon to find a build up of mildew as
well as deteriorating frames and bleached fixed covers that cannot be
replaced easily if at all.
Leather upholstery can also be very unsuitable for these environments
as the light, heat and humidity can very quickly damage and bleach
the leather leading to cracking and eventual breakdown of the
leather surfaces. Also, in direct sunlight leather can reach very high
temperatures rendering the furniture unusable on days where the sun is
strong.
With our furniture you will be able to get many years of enjoyment out
of your conservatory all year round without any problems that can be
posed by this harsh environment. You also have the knowledge that with
our replacement cushion service, after many years you will still be able
to refresh and update your furniture at a much smaller cost than if you
were to buy a whole new suite of furniture.

Environmentally friendly...
Our furniture is made up using only the finest Cane and
Cane and Rattan is an extremely environmentally
friendly and sustainable material. It needs the
rainforests and jungles in order for it to grow as it is a
creeper and needs to wrap itself around trees and
other vegetation, thus encouraging the communities
that harvest this material to preserve the rainforests
and jungles in which they are found. Cane and Rattan
can grow up to 6 meters per year, which means that
it can be fully grown and harvested within two years,
compare that to the 20-30 years for some hardwoods
and you can see why rattan is one of the most
sustainable materials to use in furniture manufacturing.
Here at Cane Industries not only do we continually
strive to reduce our carbon footprint we are also
very conscious of our responsibilities to our suppliers.
We work very closely with our suppliers to make sure
that the local communities that help to produce our
components do so ethically and to the benefit of all
who are involved, be it within the UK or abroad.

ACID (Anti Copying in Design) was created in 1996
by designers for designers and manufacturers
who uphold the value of original design. ACID is

Tradionally weaved furniture...
We only use the finest Authentic Lloyd Loom material
that is still manufactured the same way as it was back
in 1907. Specialist looms weave twisted Kraft Paper
together with steel wire to ensure a fine and tight
weave that so famously characterises Lloyd Loom
furniture. Together with selected Italian Leathers and
Fine Furniture Fabrics from all over the world we
combine these superior elements to create beautiful
pieces of furniture that will be appreciated for
