Napa Sonoma Marin Media Kit 2016
Be Showcased Now in The Essential Guide ~ Napa • Sonoma
2016 - 17
The award-winning publication, The Essential Guide ~ Santa Fe • Taos, is now expanding into the Napa and Sonoma wine country
regions. The Essential Guide team is excited at the prospect of these new markets and invites you to reserve your space now.
For over 27 years The Essential Guides have been nationally recognized as high-end lifestyle and travel publications. The EG’s
have become synonymous with the best of regional art, fashion, food, wine, design, architecture and travel.
In addition to the Santa Fe EG and with publications like The Essential Guide ~ Charleston • Savannah • The Lowcountry, The
Essential Guide ~ Spokane • Coeur d’Alene • Walla Walla and now The Essential Guide ~ Napa • Sonoma we will cover even
more world-renowned destinations that exude excellence as travel and tourism brands. With The EG’s growth, unique
design, content and overall appeal, we are positive the timing is perfect for our expansion. As an effective, attractive and
affordable publication, The EG has a proven track record of success in bringing targeted market share to destinations.
Four of five high-end travelers visit Napa and Sonoma County during their initial visit to the region and many will return to
the geographical area within 28 months. Up to 100,000 copies of The EG will be distributed for no cost regionally, nationally
and internationally to affluent tourists and residents. The EG, as the only annual regional lifestyle publication in this wine
country, will fill a previously unaddressed need.
Our “little black book” is an essential place to advertise:
• More affordable rates than other publications, as ours includes professional graphic design and production of your full-color ad
• The EG has had continued and impressive growth since 2002
• According to concierges, The EG is considered the preferred choice by hotel guests, and selected by several premier
hotels for distribution in guest rooms, and at events, corporate meetings and weddings
• Engaging, high-quality editorial content
• Expanded website providing additional, sophisticated exposure to clients via individualized pop-up pages, as well as
through social media services, blogs and videos.
• More than 100,000 EG books have been downloaded and we enjoy reaching over a million impressions on Facebook
• According to independent economic development research, The EG is the NUMBER ONE PUBLICATION that both
locals and tourists hold onto year after year
• Targeted distribution includes, but is not limited to, medical and legal conferences, travel-writer organizations,
architecture and publisher conferences, national artist conventions, fashion professionals, ASID, The Golf Channel,
national meeting planners, Car Association’s national tours, state film commissions, celebrities and film crews
One of our newly signed clients said, “When I was planning on how to spend my upcoming advertising budget The Essential Guide
kept rising to the top. I was drawn to the publication’s beautiful presentation, unique size and aesthetic look, and I always see tourists
carrying it around and locals using it as well. It is such a conglomerate of cohesive varied businesses combined with equally interesting
editorial content. I believe this new publication will be extremely well received in Napa and Sonoma for locals and tourists alike!”
