Otto will be at the Birch Creek Music Performance Center. Otto will make his appearance at the Drumming Comedy and Pops program on Thursday June 27 at Birch Creek. This show is sure to provide fun-filled entertainment for the entire family. Otto will surprise concertgoers as he pops up from time to time and in inventive ways to interact with musicians and attendees. “Otto the Autopilot” is traveling around the state to help promote “fun” in Wisconsin as a part of the 2014 Travel Wisconsin ad campaign that spoofs the original 1980s comedy hit, “Airplane!” The ads were directed by Hollywood directors and Wisconsin-natives David and Jerry Zucker, and Jim Abrahams, and feature Otto’s co-stars from the movie, Robert Hays and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. “Flying all over the state with the Wisconsin wind in my cheesehead has really inflated my ego,” said “Otto the Autopilot.” “I may be full of hot air, but I am pretty sure that I’ve made it to the A-list, so I am really looking forward to landing in Egg Harbor and seeing everyone at the Birch Creek Music Performance Center.” Birch Creek Music Performance Center is a summer music school in Door County, WI, for advanced young musicians. With a performance emphasis, students are taught by nationally known performers and educators during the day, and perform alongside them in concerts at night. Five sessions focus on percussion and steel band, symphony, big band jazz and vocal jazz.
