CAM’S TOUR OF ITALY 2016 - ITINERARY Tuscany Rides and Logistics • • • • • • • • Distance and elevation indicated for each ride are a guide only For safety reasons, all rides will start from Castelnuovo dell’Arbate Details of each day’s itinerary (ride, start time, winery tours, dinner arrangements) will be posted in the communal area at Montecaprili the night prior As Montecaprili is reached via a narrow gravel track one of our buses may be too long to be manoeuvred to the top of the hill, so before and after each ride it may be necessary to ferry people and bikes in 2 groups. (The track to Montecaprili is only 2km, so the wait time will only be 20mins.) Most lunches will be taken during each day’s ride and will be self-catered unless advised otherwise by Cams The ride itinerary is designed to build up and taper off as the week progresses; however, the itinerary may need to change depending on weather, especially for the Queen stage to Monte Amiata at 1800m. The ride itinerary is also designed to cater for logistics for winery visits, dinner arrangements, etc. The itinerary can be flexible depending on the wishes of the group, but be aware winery visits and restaurants are booked in advance Day 1 – Saturday 18 June – ZURICH Arrival and Travel to Tuscany • • • • • • • Cam’s group arrive at Zurich airport and met in the arrivals hall at Terminal 2 where you are escorted to the buses It is expected that most of you will arrive in Terminal 2, but anyone arriving on a Swiss flight will be met at the Terminal 1 arrivals hall.
