All-new Toyota Mark X Launch Ceremony
and
Lexus ․ Toyota Motor Show
With its high performance characteristics, Toyota Mark X has always been a highly acclaimed
model in the Japanese domestic market. The all-new Toyota Mark X has a front engine and
rear-wheel drive powertrain configuration, coupled with a 2.5L V6 dual VVT-i engine that has a
maximum power output of 203 horsepower and a maximum torque at 243Nm. This vehicle
offers truly precise and unsurpassable performance.
After ongoing negotiations with the manufacturer, Crown Motors Ltd. and Yat Fung Motors Ltd.
reached success in introducing the all-new Toyota Mark X directly from Japan; in fact, the Hong
Kong and Macau markets are the first to be formally authorised by the manufacturer to bring in
this excellent car outside Japan. In order to mark this remarkable moment, the “All-new Toyota
Mark X Launch Ceremony” is being staged today by Yat Fung Motors Ltd. in the Toyota
pavilion during the “2011 China (Macau) International Automobile Exposition” held in The
Venetian Macao. This event has attracted over a hundred guests and media representatives to
witness the occasion. A message was delivered at the gathering by the Managing Director of Yat
Fung Motors Ltd., Mr. Victor Wai; and the Chief Engineer of Toyota Mark X, Mr. Takayuki
Tomohara, has been invited all the way from Japan to talk about the design and development of
the exciting all-new car with the guests at the event. Mr. Takayuki Tomohara, together with Mr.
Patrick S Lee, Managing Director of Crown Motors Ltd., Mr. Victor Wai, Managing Director of
Yat Fung Motors Ltd., and Mr. Hiroyuki Shimominami, Managing Director of Toyota Tsusho (H.K.)
Corp. Ltd., formally unveiled the all-new Toyota Mark X. After the grand toasting ceremony,
there were photo opportunities with the hosts and guests of honour, bringing colour and joy to
this marvellous event.
Moreover, concurrently with the “Lexus․Toyota Car Show” held from October 28-30, a
number of new 2012 models made their public debut in the territory. In addition to the
highlighted Toyota Mark X, the range of new vehicles will also include the new Toyota Hybrids,
the hatchback Auris Hybrid and the 7-seater MPV Prius V, as well as the new Yaris. Over 20
other popular Lexus and Toyota models are also showcasing during this event. The strong
line-up features the flagship Lexus LS600hL hybrid luxury sedan, SUV RX450h and RX270,
IS250 sport sedan, CT200h hatchback, and last but not least, there will also be popular Toyota
MPVs such as Wish, Noah, and Previa, the sport hatchback Ractis, and the much envied
favourite of young executives, the Toyota Corolla.
