Notice how the dominate red and black blocks are carefully separated throughout. Colorful zigzag blocks add a charming touch. The Lattice and Cornerstone setting makes it easy to line up blocks without matching seams. 14 This quilt is made from a Layer Cake. A Layer Cake is a stack of forty 10” squares. They are already coordinated by the designer with a variety of prints, scales and values. Snowballs are a perfect way to use large scale prints coordinated with small scale prints.
