Ultimate glass - The Ultimate Pint

A PROJECT
The ULIMATE Pint glass is the result of an ongoing initiative started by
the UK Government in 2009. This initiative handed the manufacturing
community the challenge to design a product that would help to make
drinking venues a safer environment through the reduction of violent
injuries caused by glass.

The Ultimate tumbler is FULLY TEMPERED, as with
certain other Arcoroc products, and is designed to offer dramatically increased resistance against mechanical and thermal shock.
The technology used makes it possible to
obtain a glass body more resistant, thereby making the Ultimate glass stronger
and safer to use in public places. When an impact, or series of impacts, results in the outer shell being broken, the glass breaks into small
pieces which are blunt to the touch.
This has two consequences:
- Employers benefit from a marked reduction in occupational accidents
resulting from cuts.
- Customers benefit from the fact that the broken glass cannot be used
as a weapon.
Precautions: Arcoroc recommends that you avoid bunching or stacking the glassware
as any mechanical shock can impact upon the tempered property of the glass.
The Ultimate employs the dynamic PROFILE PLUS process to
produce a glass with outstanding
characteristics. PROFILE PLUS is
an innovation combining DESIGN
and TECHNOLOGY to reinforce
the body of the glass, making it
EVEN STRONGER. This innovation
is the fruit of more than 50 years
of acquired know-how and experience in the glass industry.

Head booster :
A new performance Nucleation that offers the perfect balance between a healthy looking beverage
and wastage caused by over serving. The base of
the glass is laser etched with a unique design which
creates a constant stream of bubbles in the beverage, thus promoting a constant head.
Glass: a recyclable material
Glass is collected and reintroduced upstream in the
production cycle. The recycling of glass reduces
the volume of waste and helps protect our natural
resources as the recycled material replaces new
raw materials in the glass production chain.
