It aims to train skilled professionals to work in the means of production, research, education and extension, aimed at increasing animal productivity. An important feature of the course is to develop technologies for nutrition and animal breeding, aiming at the economic production of animal products quality by farmers to the consumer population, respecting the ethical issues. Course duration: nine semesters (five years). The course is offered during the day (full time). Undergraduate Course AGRONOMY The Agronomy Undergraduate Course aims to prepare students with technical-scientific knowledge and social and environmental responsibility, able to act critically and creatively in identifying and solving problems. Agronomy is a multidisciplinary field of agricultural science, including applied areas of natural or biological, exact, social and economic sciences, which together aim to understand the philosophical and technical aspects of agriculture and improve agricultural practice, optimizing production. Professional Agronomy has vast playing field, including plant science, animal science, soil, rural engineering, environment and rural administration. Course duration: eight semesters (four years). The course is offered during the day (full-time). Undergraduate Course FOREST ENGINEERING Forest Engineer will act in the planning, direction and execution techniques aimed at improving the activities of the forestry sector in the timber and nontimber supply chain, in the conservation and restoration of natural resources, with emphasis on the development of forest-based technologies, sustainability and regional development, taking into account, therefore, the characteristics of the region where the course is offered. The forest activity is booming in Brazil; Paraná State is one of the country's largest forest producers. Course duration: ten semesters (five years). The course is offered during the day (full time). Undergraduate Course BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES Biology is the science of living things, the relationship between them and the environment, in addition to the processes and mechanisms that regulate life. Therefore, graduates in biological sciences have leading role on issues involving the knowledge of nature. This course aims to train professionals licensed, able to act as educators in middle and high school as well as in projects of scientific and technological research in Life Sciences in the Biological Sciences area and related fields. Course duration: eight semesters (four years). The course is offered at night. Undergraduate Course RURAL EDUCATION Rural Education course aims to form educators to specific action with people who work and live in the field, in the various stages and types of basic education, and of pedagogical actions diversity necessary to achieve it as a right and human and social development tool. The theoretical and methodological approach of course aims to develop training strategies for teaching curricular subject areas in field/farm schools . Also aims to build organizational alternatives of school and pedagogical work to enable the expansion of basic education in the field/ farm and with the speed and quality required by social dynamics in which people are located. Course duration: eight semesters (four years). The course is offered during the day. Undergraduate Course SOFTWARE ENGINEERING Software Engineering Course has as main objective the training of human resources for the planning, construction, management (design and quality) and maintenance of software products, in order to search the needs of the current trends of the business world, such as the development, implementation and project management and knowledge to use in organizational processes, through software infrastructure and maintenance. The formation of the Software Engineer requires extensive domain programming techniques and software development processes. In this sense, the Software Engineering has a set of standards, reference documents and bodies of knowledge that help the market to improve its process and product. Course duration: eight semesters (four years). The course is offered at night. Undergraduate Course BIOTECHNOLOGY AND BIOPROCESS ENGINEERING The Biotechnology and Bioprocess Engineering is the use of knowledge of life sciences for the production of products, services and processes developed by living beings. Biotechnology is a field of knowledge multidisciplinary encompassing varied knowledge with an emphasis on chemistry, biology, microbiology and molecular genetics. Curse duration: ten semesters (five years). The course is offered during the day (full time). Graduate Programs • Animal Science - Master • Agroecosystems – Master Graduate Program ANIMAL SCIENCE - MASTER Dois Vizinhos University Campus has a great potential for development experiments in zootechnical area, providing quality conditions for teaching, research and extension. The area of concentration of this Program is Animal Production. It has been developed researches related to Production and Animal Nutrition, especially, in ruminant production areas and non-ruminants. It has also been developed studies on fertility and soil management for grazing and silage, silage and hay production, nutrient cycling and evaluation of forage species in agrosilvipastoris systems, among others. Graduate Program AGROECOSYSTEMS - MASTER Agroecosystems Program aims at trainning human resources with outstanding knowledge in agroecosystems, with focus on research topics involving production processes sustainability , emphasizing the balance between environmental and agricultural ecosystems and searching sustainable production systems, focusing on the development and regional sustainability. For this objective to be achieved, it is proposed to create opportunities to students to build expertise with sound scientific basis to enable them to pursue research, teaching and extension.
