The Fly has a patented, unique and very effective infinity-adjustable damping system developed by tattoo artist Artemis Rosakis. The Fly is equipped with an adjustable screw to control softness (“give”). The more you tighten the control screw, the stiffer the a-bar becomes and the machine hits stronger. When you unscrew the control screw, the a-bar becomes looser (the looser, the softer), and the machine hits softer (give effect). This adjustment allows you to fineadjust the machine on the fly to suit your needs in just seconds. How do I adjust the stroke-length (hub)? There are three types of excenters available for the Fly to achieve different stroke-lengths (i.e. short-stroke, mediumstroke, and long-stroke)The excenters for the Fly are interchangeable and must be connected to the shaft of the motor/engine. On the Fly, the stroke-length (hub) changes automatically in combination with the softness (give) adjustment feature and the speed. When you increase the speed (by the volts) you get longer strokes. When you decrease the speed (by the volts) you get shorter strokes. When adjusted for lining you get shorter but harder strokes. When adjusted for shading you get longer but softer strokes. The short-stroke excenter gives strokes between 2,6 mm and 3,4 mm.The medium-stroke excenter gives strokes between 3,5 mm and 4,4 mm.The long-stroke excenter gives strokes between 4,4 mm and 5,5 mm. What is the position of the a–bar and the needles when the motor stops? The mechanism of the Fly has a spring that pushes up the armature bar with the needles when the motor stops. This means that when the machine stops, the needles are inside the tube. How often does the Fly requires service? If the right lubricant is used (use synthetic grease ONLY!!), the Fly will run smoothly for years. We are available for assistance and guidance well after your purchase and can offer you any parts that you may need as well as our services in our repair and assembling shop at reasonable prices. What type of power supply will I need? All Stigma-Rotary® machines work with almost any power supply. The Eikon EMS 250 does not work with rotaries. If you want to use the Eikon EMS 300 then check the menu for a rotary mode and turn it on. If your Eikon EMS 300 does not have a rotary mode on the menu then it will run only for a few seconds. In this case, Eikon is willing to upgrade the software of your EMS 300 for free, you just pay for the shipping cost. All new Eikons EMS 300 work with rotaries and all other future Eikon models will be rotary compatible. http://www.stigma-rotary.com Stigma Rotary® · Greybusters International GmbH · Lausitzerstrasse 31 · 10999 Berlin - Germany · stigma-rotary@tattoosafe de · http://www.stigma-rotary.com
