Borneo & the Orangutans
of Kalimantan
...escorted by Dr Stephen Van Mil & Kobe Steele
Orangutans of Kalimantan
Have you ever imagined visiting Kalimantan and seeing
wild orangutans up close and personal? On our special
escorted departure, led by Dr Stephen Van Mil and Kobe
Steele, you will enjoy a very personal experience in the
Borneo wilderness and see these wonderful animals.
There’s an opportunity to meet orangutan infants at their
care centre and to chat with volunteers and experts who
have devoted their lives to the care and rehabilitation
of these amazing animals. It’s here where you will
learn about the projects that are keeping them alive.
Stephen is a former veterinarian, a dedicated animal
lover and a conservationist. His organisation, Animal
Media, specialises in all aspects of media involving our
wonderful creatures of the world. In conjunction with
Fork Films, the award winning The Last Trimate was a
world-released documentary narrated by Mel Gibson
and featuring the amazing lifework of Birute Mary Galdikas
and
the
orangutans
