Summary
The organization
ProLift Industrial Equipment is a full-service forklift
and aerial equipment dealer in Kentucky, Indiana,
Ohio and West Virginia. ProLift is one of the largest
dealers in the United States for Toyota Material
Handling equipment.
The problem
ProLift was looking for a sustainable software solution with strong functionality for service and rental.
More insight into real-time equipment information
and improved reporting options were necessary.
The solution
Dysel implemented the Microsoft Dynamics NAV
based Equipment Life Cycle (ELC) solution in 2007
and the mobile field service solution EveryWare in
2013.
Dysel has built up a strong reputation in the material handling industry as
provider of powerful equipment management software. Several dealers for
Toyota Material Handling are successfully running on Dysel’s software solutions.
Among them is one of the largest dealers in the United States: ProLift Industrial
Equipment.
History
ProLift Industrial Equipment started as a forklift rental house in 1978 in Louisville, KY.
Over the years, the company has grown into a full-service forklift and aerial equipment
dealership, boasting seven locations, approximately 350 employees and multiple product
lines. ProLift has grown into one of the largest Toyota dealers in the United States.
Toyota is the world’s number-one selling forklift. In January 2007, ProLift was purchased
by Toyota Industries North America (TINA).
Later in 2007, the search began for a sustainable equipment management system with
specific functionality for material handling. Dysel’s ELC was in use at another Toyota dealer
and ProLift was quickly convinced of the power and quality of the system. In 2013, the
mobile field service solution EveryWare was implemented at ProLift enabling them to
maximize the efficiency of their service department and deliver excellent customer service.
The advantages
ProLift gained complete insight into their business
by obtaining access to real-time data throughout
the whole organization. Information on maintenance schedules and service planning enabled
ProLift to improve the service level. ELC allowed for
extensive financial reporting and delivered accurate,
up to date equipment information. Other advantages included reduced inventory costs and better
insight into fleet management.
Complete maintenance
ELC provides ProLift with complete insight into the work order history and maintenance
schedules of the equipment. This allows for planning of preventive maintenance jobs and
contacting customers to inform them about upcoming service jobs. ELC also allows for
registering the most complex service contracts and handling warranty claims.

Optimally informed
Dysel´s ELC software solutions provide ProLift
correct and up to date information at any time
and anywhere. This leads to better customer
service and lower costs. Perfect insight into
configuration, service history and profitability of
equipment enables ProLift to proactively inform
customers about upcoming service jobs or new
opportunities. Inventory levels are brought
down and employee productivity has increased.
ELC has given ProLift extensive options for
financial reporting and data-analysis as well as
an overview of its Key Performance Indicators,
which enhances decision-making. Inch high
stacks of printed reports are no longer needed
as information can easily be shared online.

Material Handling
The relationship with Toyota Material Handling
is very important to ProLift. Dysel developed
several tools to maximize the efficiency of the
dealership. Master data about equipment and
parts is exchanged to assure both ProLift and
Toyota of correct and up to date information
and pricing. Dysel continues to invest in the
development of new interfaces to increase
the value of the relationship between the
dealerships and Toyota Material Handling.
With the sales and purchase configurators
in ELC, ProLift can easily order equipment at
Toyota. If necessary, a work order is automatically created together with the purchase order,
to customize the equipment to meet the
customer’s specific needs.
Fleet management
ProLift has gained complete insight into the
profitability and costs of its equipment fleet.
The financial data and complete overview of
the equipment and service history allow for
high-level decision making. Dysel’s ELC provides
extensive functionality that supports successful
management of your equipment fleet.
Information about frequently replaced parts,
frequently performed service jobs, average
service costs per year, average lifetime, etc.,
are available instantly at any time.
The ability to check accurate and realtime
information about the configuration and
availability of its fleet saves ProLift a lot of
time and allows for optimal decision-making.
Excellent field service
Dysel’s mobile solution EveryWare Service was
implemented in 2013 at ProLift and is completely
integrated with the Graphical Dispatch Board in
ELC. This combination enables ProLift to deliver
excellent service. The field service planner has
a complete overview of where the technicians
are and what they are doing. The planning can
be adjusted quickly and easily with drag and
drop tools. Technicians are more productive by
using EveryWare, as they spend less time on
administration and more time on service and
maintenance.
The positive impact of EveryWare is also found
in timely invoicing resulting in improved cashflow.
Dysel has enabled ProLift to save enormously
on their inventory costs. The minimum and
maximum inventory levels take future transactions into account and new parts are ordered
automatically with Toyota Material Handling.
Information in the products and parts catalog
of TMH is electronically exchanged with ProLift
to keep information up to date. The inventory
levels have been reduced by over 25% since the
implementation of ELC.
