Carol Marrs
Carol Marrs earned a degree in Speech, Drama, and English from West Texas State University. She also received certification in Elementary Education and ESL and has 30 years experience teaching kindergarten through 12th grade. After teaching Elementary Creative Dramatics in LISD for 14 years, she has retired to pursue her Little Bit of Broadway business she developed with Mrs. G. In addition to being an award winning teacher, Mrs. Marrs is also a published author and loves boating with her family. Presents:

Laurie Gruenloh
Laurie Gruenloh’s (aka Mrs. G.) academic and professional training includes a BA with honors in Dance from the University of Iowa, a BS in Elementary Education and an MS with emphasis in Elementary Classroom Teaching from Northern State University. She taught Elementary Creative Dramatics in LISD for 16 years. Throughout her career, she has danced and choreographed many pieces for dance studios, theatre productions, and schools. She is enjoying spending more time with her husband and two young boys while also sharing the love and appreciation of theatre through Little Bit of Broadway. Dig It!

Performance Camps
During Little Bit of Broadway Musical Theatre Camp, we will combine various elements of performance including acting, choreography, costuming, and vocal skills for singing and speaking. We will provide each child the opportunity to experience a musical theatre production from audition to performance. This journey is meant to be an adventure in new theatrical horizons for students and promotes ensemble work. This enriching experience will not only help children gain an appreciation of the fine arts but will also create memories to last a lifetime!
Bebop with Aesop
Aesop's unforgettable fables stimulate our imaginations and dramatize the many lessons and values that we can learn from them. Michael and Jill Gallina have adapted five of these fables in creative musical settings. Through fun-­‐
to-­‐perform dialogue and rock 'n' roll-­‐styled music, Aesop's entertaining stories afford ample opportunity to provide students with examples of behaviors and attitudes that can contribute to meaningful character education as well as a great acting experience. Dig It!
Travel back in time and join inquisitive archaeologists Taki and Tut, and their friend Lucy, as they explore the wonders of ancient civilization. From the farm laborers of early Mesopotamia and Egyptian mummies who "rap," to a chorus of ancient Greeks and Romulus and Remus who dream of building a great city, you will love discovering the archaeological mysteries of the past. New to our selection this year, we are offering an all day workshop camp the week before school begins. We hope this will help parents who would like a little extra time to prepare for the new school year and give teachers’ children a fun filled quality place to be while at inservice. Each day will focus on a specialized theatre theme your children will explore. Themes and units will include: Puppetry Creation and Performance, Improvisation and Character Development, Costume Design and Mask Making, Stage Movement and Set Design, Silent Movies, and Friday Funday. Tuition includes all supplies and materials. This exciting camp will not only help children gain an appreciation for theatre arts but also discover the depth and variety this fine art has to offer.
